Hmm Fire looks different from the last time we saw her.

How can you have an episode about Darkseid without Superman?

i dunno but i hope they pull it off[th writers that is

This week's teaser features a classic rivalry between Firestorm and Killer Frost. Frost, a former girlfriend of Ronnie Raymond, gets ice superpowers and tries to get revenge, but is defeated by the heroes. This was a hilarious teaser here, and I loved how they used their history from the comics.

In today's epic adventure, we see as Darkseid and his powerful troops from Apokolips prepare to invade Earth. In this situation, Batman quickly forms a new Justice League made of B-list heroes in order to deal with the big threat. However, the heroes don't get along as expected and continue to fail in stopping the invasion. Despite getting their stuff together and fight together as a team, they are still no match for Darkseid himself. When all hope is lost, the Question reveals himself as a Parademon, and pulls the troops back, saving Earth. The heroes celebrate their victory, and though flawed, Batman realizes they have potential for greatness.

Well....I loved, loved, LOVED this episode. Completely excellent, and one of the best this show has ever done. The reason I'm not as bothered as others is due to the fact that this isn't the actual Justice League: this is the Justice League International, a humorous, light-hearted incarnation of the team, and the chemistry between the heroes is great. Everybody gets a moment to shine, and they all have great chemistry. And yes, people, despite what the DCAU wants you to believe, Darkseid is NOT strictly a Superman villain, so I wasn't bothered by the Blue Guy's absence.

Also, while others are disappointed that the invasion wasn't epic...well, that was the whole point! They played with our expectations of a giant invasion, even bigger than the Starro threat, and instead we focused on the humor and got rid of the Apokolips troops in an obvious cheap way, WITHOUT nerfing or weaking Darkseid. I knew what we were getting into when Batman ridiculously dodged the Omega Beam. It was brilliant! Bonus points for the Question, of course.

Fantastic episode. Great way for the show to end the year.

I enjoyed the Firestorm/Killer Frost teaser. 'B'

But the main story left me cold.
Everything seem rushed.
Totally hated the voice and so-called one-liners by Ice.
Questionable use of the Question.
Glad they remember the bit about Martain Manhunter liking cookies which was my favorite part of the weak episode.
'D+'

I felt it was really rushed, but Gamer makes a good point how much they focused on the comedy which is major factor in JLI itself.

I'd already forgotten that The Question was on Apokolips, and expected Mister Miracle to pop up at the end.

After watching all of the B-TB&TB episodes, this is the most glorious episode ever written. It was fun and great to watch the heroes gets the spotlight and Bats didn't save the day was actually cool since The Question makes the "dues ex machina" in the end ;)

Love the flirt sequence between Guy, Booster, Fire & Ice. And also the brawl segments hahahaha.

I love this show's version of J'onn.
