Sweet. I thought we were done until Jan. 2.

Santa Claus gave us a nice early treat! :)

In the teaser, Batman and Plastic Man silently fight Shaggy Men and rescue Boy Scouts in the woods. It was amusing and it was nice to see the Shaggy Man (in plural) return, but the main episode completely trumps it.

In the main feature, Plastic Man officially declares Woozy Winks as his sidekick. Just in time two: The duo, along with Batman, face off against Kite Man and Rubberneck, who plan on getting revenge on their former partner-in-crime by removing his powers. Meanwhile, Plas loses his self-control (heroically and criminally) and due to his mistakes, Kite Man goes after his wife, kid, and dog, and theatens to kill them, leading to a final showdown at the Benjamin Franklin Museum.

This episode is probably one of the funniest the show has ever done. Plastic Man and his world is full of whacky characters and humor at every corner. Most of the jokes were very sharp, from Plastic Man's possible enemies, to his "Plascave", to Kite Man's hilariously tragic origin, and the ending. Also, nice advertising with the Jonah Hex movie playing!

All in all, a great episode. One of the series' best.

5/5

NEXT EPISODE: Batman and Blue Beetle go into a space adventure to battle The Reach, a powerful hive-mind entity that has a grudge against the Blue Beetles and the Guardians of the Universe. Things become more interesting when the Green Lantern Corps come to help.

Does anyone know where I can find this ep on the net? Won't air in Australia here for ages and all the sites I've visited either only have the first two thirds or require me to do a "survey" (aka subscribe to something).

was the time for the friday airing changed/ i programmed for 8;30 eastern but all i got was the last partof it and ben 10

This was one of the most well written and surprising episodes out there, with a crazy origin story to Kiteman, to Jonah Hex promotion to a true lovely dedication to Plasticman's history and supporting cast. 10/10

Veoh.com has it. Just search for the show and episode title. I missed it here cause I think they changed the time or day. Only the first two parts are on YouTube. But I just found and watched the whole episode in one piece there.

Pretty good episode. Just shows how great this show is that it can bring characters like Plastic Man and this Woozy Winks (who I've never heard of) into the spotlight successfully.

Thanks a heap, just watched it. Absolutely fantastic episode I must say, easily one of the best of the show ranking up there with Mayhem of the Music Meister!, Deep Cover For Batman!, Game Over For Owlman!, Legends Of The Dark Mite! and Trials Of The Demon!

So many fantastic gags in this one, this show is perfect for Plas, and the animator's and storyboarder's work really shows itself. Some of my favourite forms used were the finger nets and tram in the trailer, water balloon, Plasmobile and the various pieces of art in the museum. Also neat was the "sinking head" moments with Ramona.

I'll admit I wasn't that excited for this episode upon hearing that it would feature Plasticman again instead of a new hero, but this one really hit it out of the park. The spotlight on Plas' home life was really neat, and Woozy provided an excellent half of their comedy duo, especially in his very laidback way; "Uh....eh, I got nothin'" :woot:

Kiteman really stole the show here though, I was overjoyed to here Jeffrey Combs of Re-Animator (as well as DCAU Question and Scarecrow) fame voicing him, and showed great range here with a suitably comedic melodrama. His Ben Franklin inspired origin had me in stitches, and his dream to become "the most famous...KITE related person ever!" was my favourite part of the ep. The ending joke was great as well.

My only criticisms are that after Plas determining to save his family we really didn't see him reunite and make up with them, and that though the stretchy powers are obviously temporary, a simple throwaway line would've been appreciated.

Fun fact: this episode was supposed to be the season premiere, but was changed in schedule in favor of "Death Race to Oblivion!". Also, the Plastic Man/Shaggy Men teaser was supposed to be the teaser for "Mayhem of the Music Meister!".

The best line from this episode IMHO was when dimwitted Rubberneck correctly replied "daylight savings time" as a Benjamin Franklin invention. XD
The BATB writers continue to impress me and I don't impress easily.
