This should be interesting.

LEX LUTHOR CONTINUES TO WREAK HAVOC — In the wake of Lex Luthor’s (guest star Jon Cryer) return, the show flashes back to what he’s been doing for the last two years and how his secret machinations and plans have affected Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Lena (Katie McGrath). Carl Seaton directed the episode written by Dana Horgan & Eric Carrasco (#416). Original airdate 3/24/2019.

This sounds like another "Man of Steel" but from Lex's POV of the last few seasons. Could be interesting.

Has he been the Puppet Master, toying with people's strings..?;)

Are they going to rewrite past storylines to make it seem Lex was behind them all along?

Promo:

My assumption that the Red Daughter storyline was being saved to tie into the Lex subplot looks to have been correct.

So Supergirl isn't taking a break like the Flash? Well that's good news, unless the next episode is delayed.

Is Arrow taking a break too? Why only the Flash otherwise?

I suppose it probably would've cost a lot to use the entirety of Frank Sinatra's "My Way."

And no, Arrow is new tomorrow.

Getting to see how Lex pulled strings behind the scenes is fairly interesting

Russian Kara's English reminds me of how Helena spoke in Orphan Black.

This is already my favorite episode and oddly enough there’s no Supergirl

Now with that wig, Russian Kara looks like Mary Tyler Moore.

She's starting to lose it.

The classic Luthor mech suit.

Cryer has been pretty fantastic as Lex. Bogged down by some of the typical CW stuff, but I've been pleased. Nice to finally get the Red Daughter origin out of the way. Next week looks intense.

Yeah, CW cheesiness aside, Cryer has been a great Lex

Now we see why there was hardly Supergirl.

Melissa showed why she is the strongest actress from Arrowverse and made me believe she is Russian.

Lex and Red Daughter at Kara’s apartment happened while Kara was visiting Clark and Lois in Smallville. Plus Miss Tessmacher knows Kara as Supergirl.

Great episode for Lex and Red Daughter.

Her Russian was great.

For some reason, the producers didn’t want Red Daughter to overshadow the Children of Liberty but tonight’s episode did that.

This was one of the best episodes of the season imo and one of the best of the series. Cryer is killing it as Lex.

This episode was great! Season 4 continues to be on a roll, imo. Cryer is a surprisingly great Lex and I'm already invested in Red Kara after only one ep of actually getting to know her. The testing and importance of the Alex/Kara bond is obviously a theme this season and I look forward to seeing how that plays into stopping Red Kara. Btw, loved the Linda Lee reference.

One thing I'm not too sure about - the new costume is cool and all, but why give her the Red Daughter costume if she's just going to pretend to be Supergirl? If anyone saw her in that costume, then they'd suspect an imposter Supergirl is among them. Seems counterproductive to me. But I guess we'll see how it plays out.

A Philip Jennings reference?! RESPECT.
Oh damn, I missed it. When was it?

Oh damn, I missed it. When was it?

When Eve confronted Red Kara in the elevator and Red Kara was telling her how the US is not that bad, she said something like “don’t go Philip Jennings” or something like that. :funny: I was shocked because I’m sure only a minority will get that reference. :D

AAaah, I can't believe I missed that line, that is perfect!

I hope they would continue the Red Daughter storyline into the next season to make up for the lack of emphasis this season.

Whenever they bring in Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor they will overshadow anything in Supergirl.
