Official description:

LENA DISCOVERS THE CONSEQUENCES OF PROJECT NON NOCERE – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the team go head to head against Rama Khan (guest star Mitch Pileggi) and Leviathan. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) and Lex (guest star Jon Cryer) must join forces when Project Non Nocere fails, leaving the two siblings in serious danger. Avi Youabian directed the episode written by Dana Horgan & J. Holtham (#518). Original airdate 5/10/2020.

You mean to tell me Non Nocere goes wrong?! Who could’ve seen that coming?! :oldrazz:

Alex being the one defending Lena now makes zero sense. She was literally the first one to jump back on the "she's a Luthor" train earlier this season back when Kara was still in Lena's corner, and Lena hasn't exactly behaved in any kind of manner since then to dissuade her from that notion. Is Alex even a character of her own at this point? Seems like her beliefs and emotions are entirely at the whim of each episode's plot this season.

So unbelievable Alex and Kara behavior flip-flopping aside, this was another good episode, imo.

SO glad Lena FINALLY woke up (about 8 episodes later than she should have, but oh well) and we can be done with that wishy-washy nonsense. And good riddance to the DEO, I guess?

The DEO had to go as it outlived it’s usefulness. I wish we had Alex’s reaction to it.

Rama Khan was done well this time around and Team Supergirl worked well. Happy that Miss Martian stuck around.

This Lex is a temperamental one and Lena made her choice at the end. Seeing Kryptonite in both Supergirl and Batwoman may give us an idea on what a crossover between them is going to be about. I want to see Lex or Lena team up with Alice.

Sorry, there's Kryptonite on Batwoman? Why? There's no crossover happening this season (and wasn't even before the Covid shutdown). What purpose is it serving on that show?

Also happy Miss Martian stuck around. Forgot to mention that.

I’ve skipped a bunch of episodes but it didn’t seem like I missed much. I got so damn tired of the Lena drama. I did watch the 100th episode and Melissa’s directorial episode. How did Brainy end up becoming DEO’s Director?!

Lena and Lex’ last scene was ace. Great acting from both McGrath and Cryer.

Alex couldn't bear working for Lex Luthor anymore and resigned, and Luthor had plans for Brainy.

Thanks! On hindsight, I just realized that I didn’t even question why Alex is not on DEO anymore. I just accepted it. :funny:

No problem! And yeah, honestly I think ditching the DEO was long overdue. I know there are other DEO sites (hello, forgotten desert bunker!), but I really hope the complete collapse of this one was meant to signify the show being done with them for next season.

So that Alice can use Kryptonite against Batwoman.

I asked that same question myself. I wonder if it's their attempt to call for a crossover with Supergirl.
I guess for next season maybe. Because even without the season being cut short by Covid, they certainly wouldn't have had the chance for that this season.

Episode had some decent stuff but it highlighted some of this show’s biggest flaws. One being there are way too many cast members and the other being characters consistency. By that I mean how one week a certain character will feel one way about something then the next they feel another way. Which maybe can also attributed to too many cast members too.

I feel like until this show shaves it’s cast I’m gonna continue to only enjoy a handful of episodes a season.

I’ve lost all interest in the Kara Lena subplot. It’s boring at this stage & I really don’t know what they’re hoping to achieve. I see all this shipping for this too on social media and quite frankly I think it’s ridiculous when both characters have only ever been interested in males. It wouldn’t shock me if they threw them together though as this show panders to shippers on a regular basis.

Oh and Alex becoming a masked vigalante, no thank you. Honestly this show just loves to do stupid s*** with its supporting cast.

Certainly one of the better episodes of the season, but just not invested in season 5 much at all. I'm sure Melissa loved working with Sean Astin though.

The radiation from Kryptonite can't hurt Batwoman,But, it's the only metal that can penetrate her bat suit. Apparently, they are also using the Kryptonite subplot to bring Supergirl and Batwoman back together. They liked their friendship in Crisis and want to explore it further.

Was wondering about the krypto as well, and not thinking about any of its other uses. (Never mind that all Alice has to do is shoot Kate in the head while she's out of costume...)

This was a good episode though. Finally, Lena (AGAIN) realizes that Lex is a monster. Only happened about a dozen times already... The prison riot scene was good though, as was the Lex/Lena confrontation. I am glad they're getting her and Kara back on friendly ground. Almost two seasons was too much of it being drawn out. Now let's work them back together again.

And please, ship the hell out of them!! :o I think Lena would be a better choice than William anyway.:halo:

As for the DEO, it was only a building. They moved from the desert site to the city, so they could easily move back again. Unless the show really is done with the organization, or it'll be ARGUS-like and hang in the background until its needed by the plot.

Rama'khan was used better this time but, despite Mitch Pileggi, it's a very poorly done character. The blonde chicky is better as a Leviathan baddie.

As for Brainy, if he is a Level 12 intellect, what level is Lex?!:wow:

I wonder if they’re setting up M’ggan to stay. Things on Mars seen to be going well enough that she’s able to leave if not permanently for a long visit. More importantly the show Sharon Leal played a main character on was canceled so she’s available.

I hope so. She’d be more interesting to have around than William, Andrea or Kelly, imo.

I hope not....I dont need anymore aliens on this show that have to be pass as humans 99% of the time due to budget.

I hope not the show already has an over stacked cast and personally for me I find it weird they’re a couple. Yes I know in this universe she isn’t his niece but it’s still weird that they decided to go that route after she’s always been his niece in other mediums.

I think they just wanted to have their cake and eat it to. They were having a hard time giving J'onn a love interest, got the rights to introduce M'gann and decided to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Jon Cryer really deserves to win some award for his work on this show. When Lex yells at Lena at the end... wow.
