Should Lana Lang have been killed off?

more like it sucks every two out of three episodes

but the good ones make superfans' hearts sing:o

Yeah, does it make sense to anyone how she became head of LexCorp? How does someone go from disgraced first lady to the head of the leading corporation in the world?

Point is, it doesnt. Im not sure, does she even have a background in business?

Well, sometimes people just appoint someone to be the face of a company. She's famous, and Lexcorp is in need of some publicity. It's better than having a crazed mad scientist running the place.

The PR angle is what I'm leaning towards as well. I don't know if she has a business background, but if she doesn't, her being appointed for the publicity is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Why would her taking over LexCorp be BS? She's an established character, she was so obsessed with Clark that it tore her marriage apart, and she'll soon be running his arch-nemesis' company. Sounds like the makings of some interesting stories down the line to me.

Agreed! The header of this thread makes no sense to me. I think there are all kinds of storylines (old jealousies, anger and resentments) not to mention Lana having legit power. She won't be a figurehead, and could manipulate people and events around the object of her attention.

yes-my girl friend shouts that every episode of smallville to.

only on smallville... but at this point i even want clark to die on smallville so i guess thats invalid huh?

Hey back to the comics people. Lana in the comics is a better character then lana in smallville. Besides the whole " i can get over an old boyfriend" its kosher.

What makes people think she's gonna be evil or something? I don't know what they're planning for her to do as the head of Lexcorp, but I'm pretty sure it wont be anything sinister. Hell, Talia was head of Lexcorp for years and did nothing. It'll likely be the same for Lana. At least until Lex tries to get his company back and attempts to kill her or something.

Lex probably doesn't want his company back. At this rate, he'll probably be content robbing banks by the end of the year. :(

The fact that he's a moron now instead of the calculating genius of old. The movies have definitely had an effect on his current portrayal.

A moron? Crazy maybe, but I wouldn't call him a moron. he did master an alien technology that could destroy entire worlds. he was Crazy before the movie. He's been crazy ever scince Superman/Batman #1 if you ask me.

His genius didn't used to just extend to figuring scientific things out before. He was cold and calculated to the point that he could nearly match Batman. I'd like to see that Lex again--a cross between the mad scientist and the master manipulator. I agree that he's been a bit crazy to some extent or another since S/B #1, but even through the insanity he was still a match for Alex Luthor's best-laid plans as the Secret Six's Mockingbird. "Up, Up, and Away" featured kind of a crappy plot for such a great planner.
