Honestly, I hope not. Time for some fresh faces so I don't have to go through more white picket fence type fantasies with olsen, Taylor Johnson and the kid.

That said, a cameo by one of them (like Olsen appearing to take one of the victims to hospital) would be kind of neat though.

Any actors in particular you would like to see in a godzilla movie? Alfred Molina or Jamie bell would be cool to see or maybe jennifer Lawrence to avoid the screaming woman/nurturing woman cliche. More Japanese actors and actresses would be amazing too

Ken Watanabe could since he's a part of Monarch. But hell no to Aaron Johnson and his family.

I think Godzilla is one of those movies that can keep on changing the human protagonists, similar to the new "planet of the apes" franchise.

I absolutely love the movie, but no for me. Maybe watanabe but that's it. Or if they find a way to
bring back cranston from the dead
. I'd like for them to bring in a high quality actor for the lead
and don't kill him off within the first 20 mins
like Russell Crowe or something. Or maybe Daniel Craig.

It doesn't really matter to me that much, but I would say yes. I feel like it would tie the movies together, and hopefully they could dive more into those characters. Some people felt the characters were a bit flat in the first, and maybe with a sequel they could flesh the characters out more. Since there's gotta be humanity and human characters in a sequel anyways, they might just flesh out the ones they have already established (plus a few new ones) rather than make an all new cast.

I think Serizawa and his organization have a role to play, but for anyone one else their story has been played out. Move on.

Na, as mentioned by others I think Watanabe should come back but the rest don't need to. The current cast did their job, but there are better ways to incorporate the human characters and better characters to use.

I think this would be the way to go, but I wouldn't mind Ken Watanabe returning at all.

Even the most direct sequel (Tokyo SOS) didn't really bring back characters. No need for the American franchise to bring back human characters. The Brody's story is pretty much done.

Watanabe should be back, but otherwise I'm all for a new group of characters.

Maybe Watanbe. ATJ's character deserves a break after all he went through. lol

I definitely think Watanabe and his partner should return, since they are part of Monarch.

the human story for the next film should center around a new scientist and his desperate attempt to save his dying daughter, Erika...........

I want it to be like the new Planet of the Apes series. New cast for each movie, with the exception of Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins. Out of all the characters, it makes the most sense to have them return. It shouldn't take place in San Francisco again, so that means Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen wouldn't need to return.

As a side note, does there really need to be so many different Godzilla threads?

Nah. Bring Watanabe back because of his connection to Godzilla, but the other stories are done, and I really don't want to see Brody "gracing" our screens again. Borys Kit of THR tweeted that ATJ has an option to return for the sequel(s), but I'm pretty sure they'll change up the cast.

I'd love to see actors like Chris Evans, David Oweyolo, Jessica Chastain, Anthony Mackie, Michael Emerson and Jamie Foxx next time.

I say yes. Even though most of them weren't particularly interesting, that's a fault of the writing, not the actors. If someone writes them a little better, they would be fine in a sequel.

Watanbe and perhaps Admiral Stenz. But if any of the Ford's show up it shouldn't be more than a flashback or cameo.

I wouldn't be mad if Aaron Taylor Johnson's character got eaten right at the start of the next one.

"Survive that"

I'd rather the next human protagonist be a politician or a weapons manufacturer or something, so you can really get into the ways in which our government would react to the knowledge that something as powerful as Godzilla is just causally swimming around the ocean, posing a constant threat despite the fact that it did technically save us.

Just Watanabe, so long as they give him more to do and dialogue that would evoke more emotions then just standing there with confusion on his face.

I chose No on the poll since he's the only character I wouldn't mind coming back, but also wouldn't care if the next cast was entirely new.

I want the oxygen destroyer in the next movie, so whatever characters can facilitate such a development :o

I almost forgot! L...O...L at the two who picked I don't want a sequel.

1. No one would force you to watch it. Unless you're weak willed.
2. It's a chance for them to improve.
3. What do you want? Another reboot this early?
