Should it? I think it would be good if done right, but Raimi is a fan of the oldies, so I dont think he would do it.

It's modern AND it sucks. There's two good reasons it should never be adapted.

I think in a shorter amount of time than people give it credence for Marvel will be backpedaling on this idea and it will be completely written out of canon, so it would be pointless to make a film on it. Plus, in the comics the frustration from the fans came from people saying JMS and Quesada were running low on good ideas. After SM3, the public would probably see this as a gimmick move to keep people in their seats. And, finally, after you've seen Spider-Man die and come back you kill the drama of ever seeing him in mortal danger again.

So no, it shouldn't be adapted. Too many wrong elements. Venom was alien enough for the books and always has been, but has good redeeming character qualities. Characters like Carnage and Morlun come from left field and just perculate for a story, like The Book of Ezekiel. Stretch them out, and the character suddenly becomes the ire of anything in tandem with it.

That, and I never want to see the forearm stingers/ Iron Spidey suit ever adapted past their current comic medium.

No

The Other is such a worthless storyline.

Carnage is a terrible villain and The Other is one of the worst Spidey storylines in the last decade. Which says a lot because there has been Unmasking, Sins Past, the stalker crap and MJ being "dead" as well.

Some real **** has been written this decade in the comics.

Also, the Book of Ezekiel was actually good but a bad movie it would make.

I have the exact same sentiment, even on the Book of Ezekiel- nice short story, but hardly the sort of vague material you want in a movie (is he spider or man or whatnot). Plus, any sequel would probably make the mistake of addressing The Other- a really bad follow-up to any film idea.

Like I said Visionary, Raimi wouldn't do it cause he is an oldies fan. So as long as Raimi is aboard, there will be no Other in a Spidey movie. Just cross your fingers that Arad doesn't force him into doing it. I still think it could (but shouldn't) be done.

So many classic stories and so many classic characters that we should not get to this point.
