Personally I am mixed. The last Woodstock lost vision of the original message and became another corporate money making scheme with its poor location, overpriced tickets/meals, and Limp Bizkit. :csad: But, with the country, I think, divided over Iraq, a 2009 Woodstock would be the best time since the original to hold the peace-concert.

Plus we could be able to clone Hendrix and hover over in our flying Delorians to witness a rebuilt Britney Spears perform whilste wearing our X-ray glasses. :ninja:

Another REAL Woodstock would be pretty good, but they'd need to get a lineup to match the original one.

The music around today cannot compare to a single act from '69, so why bother? It's pathetic, people are listening to single chords, or the same few notes, in a simple pattern, no tunes, no character, no real music.... I think i'll go and cry....

I have an idea. Lets hold a Woodstock, but rename it into Bob Dylan Performs-Stock. :oldrazz:

Or not, I'm not the hugest Bobby D fan ever, great song writer, but not the most fantastical singer ever....

Yeah? My whole ipod is essentially an IBob. :csad:

Hmm.... *Patent Pending*

My civics teacher went to one of his concerts and said all he did was mumble through the whole thing, he didn't even try to sing it:csad:

I saw a live performance of Knockin on Heavens Door he did a few weeks ago. All he did was speak through it. :csad:

Still Modern Times rocks my ass.

Every bob dylan song has been covered much better by other artists, his voice was at best a bad drunken mumble, but writing wise, fabulous!

Nobody has any problems anymore today. We're all whining about stuff that's not even an issue. And as the last Woodstock has shown, people are bigger *******s now than they were back in 1969.

I was at the last two Woodstocks. There were so many rapes at the last one :csad: I got followed a few times. :cmad:

I didn't mind the naked men so much. I remember standing in the crowd waiting for John Cocker to open and some naked guy covered in mud was up against me and I kept feeling something wet against my leg,ewwwww. :csad:

Bring on another!!!!!! :woot:

You're a keeper.

The only good about the recent Woodstocks was when they started burning sh't and MTV hosts Carson Daily and Kurt Loder looked like they were going to piss themselves. Tools.

Good times.

I wish I had a video of the 50 cop cars high tailing it up the highway to the show as I was leaving. I've never seen so many flashing lights.

My parents went to Woodstock '94 and Woodstock '99. They actually left WS'99 early because they said it was one of the worst experiences they had ever had.

Was it that bad? I saw the footage of everyone burning **** when RHCP played, but other than that, everything looked fun, especially when the Offspring played and the fat bald guy was dancing on the van in his underpants.

Apparently my mother was grabbed on the ass a couple of times by strangers, everything was overpriced, and it smelled like ****.

hmmm, two people i wouldn't mind seeing dragged behind a truck, drawn and quartered and then pissed on. especially Kurt Loder, the biggest tool in the biz.

Um, no, they haven't. The only Dylan cover that is truly better than the original is Hendrix's "All Along The Watchtower". Other than that, no one can hold a candle to Dylan.

Anyway, if there is to be another Woodstock, I'd rather it be somewhat of a reunion of the original acts rather than another gathering of all the **** bands we have out there today. At the very least, at least get one of the original acts (I'd personally go for The Who).

only way they should have one is if they resurrect Jimi Hendrix from the dead...

Yes.

The lineup needs to inlude Radiohead.

If they got Radiohead, Beck, The Flaming Lips, etc. I'd support it.

The Killers & The White Stripes need to be on that bill as well.

And even though, I already said this, they should try to get The Who as well since their probably the last major band to perform at the original festival that are still standing today, so naturally there needs to be that historical element.

The Dylan project generally surpassed all his stuff, also Richie Havens did a great version of "Jsut like a woman", easily superior to Dylan, Havens also did a great version of all along the watchtower, which was the first time Hendrix heard the song, so he technically covered Haven's version, lol.
