Sly dropped in over at aicn to discuss some of his upcoming projects and one of them was a biggie and tupac movie. I know 99.9 percent of genre nerds hate rap but for those of us who enjoy it and have studied this case, know that this movie has the potential to be on the same level as La Confidential. It's got everything shady rap moguls, gangs, drug trafiking, and rampant police corruption. The investigation into these murders was what led to the discovery of the rampart scandal in which la police officers were beating suspects, planting evidence, stealing drugs and selling them on the streets, and other highly illegal activities. The Shield is also based on several real life charachters from the rampart division.

It's not the story I have issue with it's Sly,can't stand him. Ugh.

Will Stallone be playing Biggie or Tupac?

Both,he's just that narcissistic. :o

Sorry I should have been more clear. He's writing and directing not starring.

I doubt this film will come anywhere even close to L.A. Confidential. Why? Because.

If Sly can pin-point together every single thing this story has, it will be amazing. If he can't...leave it alone because this kind of murder case is big fish. Especially both of them. Holy crap.

Why is he making this? It is a interesting story how this was never really looked into but why Stallone?

tupac isn't dead, he's working at a doghnut shop with elvis on mars

haahahaahah, screw this I want Rambo 4 next.

Honestly I would rather see this than another rambo.

Exploitative crap! If you want to see a Biggie and Tupac movie I can recommend none other than Nick Broomfield's documentary.

I have no problem with Sly Stallone as a director/writer - my problem is with nerdy white kids going to see this film and being seduced by the faux glamour.

Biggie and Tupac are sorely missed in the hip-hop community and I don't think any Hollywood bastardisation of the case will make things any better.

In other words: Leave It Alone Sly!!!! Make Judge Dredd 2 instead.

What's your problem with Sly?

He just erks me,he's just not my type of macho. Now I'm all about some Jack Bauer,Indiana Jones,Daniel Craig (Bond). I just can't stand the sight of Stallone,Van Damme,Arnold Swarzenegger and I'm sure I'm missing some other creepy feel, macho, honcho.

Stallone is a good director.
Rocky Balboa was brilliant.

Btw, rap/hip-hop is my favorite music, but I'm not liking a Biggie/Tupac movie.
I don't care for it.

I've been looking forward to this project "2 Notorious" for a very long time. Hopefully it will happen next year.

Why is he so interested in making an Edgar Allan Poe biopic? He's just interested in the people and the story. Only Sly knows for sure.

Anyone who doesn't like Stallone is just an evil bastard. I don't care much about Rocky or Rambo or much of anything he's done, but he's still the man.

I'll not deny that I'm an evil bastard. :hq:
