Smallville reruns coming to TNT this fall

If I recall ABC Family had a annoying habit of cutting parts out of Smallville

That wouldn't surprise me.

Totally had feeling it would join supernatural there.

ya, i figure this as well, almost all WB shows move to TNT

ya pretty much tnt or syfy are the only logical places for reruns to go to these days. Syfy though probably would have only been those once in awhile day marathons they still got going certain days of the week. So ya putting it on tnt is the best fit there to be with angel/charmed/supernatural. A great block of hrs.

If they had to move to a basic cable channel, I would have picked TNT easily. The channel became a save haven for Lois & Clark after it was cancelled as well.

Hopefully this means they'll show the entire series. I remember ABC Family abruptly ending their run when they reached Season 4's episodes, and there were more than a few that would not have been appropriate for their key demographics.

(Pretty ironic if you ask me when you consider what's airing nowadays.)

It should take about an entire year to go through one cycle of Smallville.

Well if they show two episodes a day like they do with Supernatural they should make it throught a season every two weeks and one day. So they should be able to make it thought the series almost three times in one year Based on two episodes a day, five days a week.

I would have liked to have seen SV stay with HD Net. I bet I watched S1-7 at least five times on there.

They will only be showing Smallville once a day at 12 p.m. So that's 5 episodes a week, around 20 in a month, so in about 11-12 months 10 seasons should be shown.

In my country FOX is rerunning Smallville, still in episode 9.
Funny how then it seemed like they were planning to follow the show with a movie or something

It was on HDNET for the longest time and then a few weeks before the finale aired, they just stopped without any rhyme or reason. In fact the last one that was shown on HDNET was the season finale of season 6. At any rate, I'm definitely glad to see it coming back to TV. SMALLVILLE WILL LIVE ON!!! MUAH HAHAHAHA! :woot: :awesome:

that was probably due to hdnet loosing rights to show reruns.

I didn't see that untill just now. Some how I compleatly missed the link in the first post. The time slot SV got sucks, I was hoping it was gonna be SV then SN.

As for HDNet I figured their contract just ran out. But I still wonder why they didn't renew?

Sweet news!! And I'll agree with Morg, ABC liked to cut and tweak scenes.

Figured we'd see something like this soon after the show ended it's run, and they could market a complete package of 200+ episodes.

TNT makes sense given their relationship with WB, HD platform, etc.

Long live Smallville.

If Angel, Charmed, and Supernatural is any indication, Smallville will be in reruns on TNT for a long time. :yay:

Just an FYI, but on October 10, HDNet will start airing Smallville again. It'll air in a 2-hour block from 8-10am.

Woot today is the day. Still odd they aren't starting from pilot though. I still thought they would. Unless tnt right now only sercured the rights to the later seasons.

It is weird they chose to start reruns with S8, but on the other hand it does make sense because this was the season everything changed. From setting, character development, relationships, to also unfortunately budget and all of that.

Ya they probably wanted to start with the more mature/adult end of the series. Compared to the other tnt reruns where as seasons 1-6 where more. Family drama stuff. But who knows the reasons.
