So, are they going to remake every damn Stephen King-movie now?

After the rumours about a Pet Sematary-remake, comes this:

A remake of Fritz Kiersch's classic 1984 film "Children of the Corn" is in the works reports Bloody Disgusting.

Adapted from a Stephen King short story, the pic follows a young couple who wander into a mid-western town where all the adults are apparently dead and the children participate in a cult that worships a malevolent force in the corn fields.I

No word yet on distributor or filmmakers involved. The previous film yielded six subsequent sequels which were released direct to video by Dimension Films.

*sigh*

i would like to see a shinning remake...............wait a minute...

Haha, that shining remake was bad IMO. Two movies they should not remake are The Dead Zone (there is already a good tv show out), and Firestarter.

And there was also a Carrie made-for-TV remake on NBC a few years back if I can remember correctly. It wasn't good at all. This sucks that they're gonna remake the classics.

So now they're remaking this and It and Pet Sematary?

:(

Now they just need to remake Shawshank Redemption :o

The 1st was the only scary one out of the what ... 4 or 5 films in the franchise ...

Another bad move :down

And the name Malachai gives me the chill :(

shining remake was horribly bad, I wanted to axe that ****ing kid.

There was nothing good about the remake of The Shining.

It was a bit more faithful to the source material, but yeah. The movie/mini-series was still very much lacking.

Kubrick's version is vastly superior.

I liked the remake. It was more like the book. That thing Kubrick made was not King's "The Shining", It was Kubrick's Shining. I liked King's better.

I agree being closer to the book is better unless they do a bad job making it closer to the book, which is what the remake did.

If any King movie should be remade its "It". I've always like the origianal but its really outdated and was made for TV anyway.

Pet Semetary's been remade plenty of times, one more couldn't hurt...right?

right??

When has Pet Sematary been remade? I only knew about the sequel with Edward Furlong.

Im pretty sure there was a 70s tv show as well, I may be wrong...i'm hoping i am

IMDB only has the original movie, the 2008 remake, and the sequel listed; No 70's tv show.

hmmm, I remember watching a show when I was very young, and I always thought it was pet sematary...oh well, i'll allow a remake than

What was the 70's show about?

It was about a guy named Eric Forman, his parents Red and Kitty, and his friends Donna, Kelso, Hyde, Jackie, and Fez. It was really good for the first few seasons until Topher Grace left and then it just got weak.
