Seems that the PS3 does not feature a solid PIANO BLACK finish afterall... It seems to be translucent (atleast it is with the demo unit shown here).

BTW... SCRATCH CITY!

Thats more scratch prone than an Apple product

I'm pretty sure they confirmed that it was just for the display units. It's listed as Opaque not translucent.
