Songs You Associate with Movies

What songs can you hear and instantly remind you of a movie that they were in? i'm not really talking about songs from like the orchestral songs, just normal songs that got put on the soundtrack, but now for you are inseperable.

For me I cannot hear The Pixies Where is my Mind without thinking of Fight Club. That was pretty much the most effective use of music i've ever seen in film.


Can anyone who has ever seen Donnie Darko hear the Gary Joules version of Mad World and think of the movie?

Although you said no orchestral songs i can't help but list the first big one that comes to mind.

Beethoven's 9th Symphony - A Clockwork Orange

It is an orchestral piece of music but it wasn't written just for that movie.

If I have to pick an actual modern song of some kind I guess I would go for The Rolling Stone's "Time is on my Side". Always makes me think of the Denzel Washington film Fallen. Elias Koteas dancing around to it as he's being led to the gas chamber in the beginning.

Ironically "I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith doesn't remind me of Armegeddon...it reminds me of Spider-man

It wasn't in the movie, but it definitely makes me think of it.

I remember when Batman Begins was coming out there was a rumor that Green Day's "Broken Boulevard of Dreams" (or something like that) was going to be on the sound track. It wasn't but I always associated it with them (even though I don't like them).
