THe Electronics devision is hugely profitable (Just still having their profits eaten by the battery fiasco) and the analists were predicting a drop in profits of 50 percent and Sony's profits only decreased by 5 percent compared to last year This is with the launch of the PS3, the Root Kit settlements, and the Battery Recall. Every devision is profitable aside from the games devision which is expected, but the loss is less then expected as well.
Sony as it stands now is healthier then it has been in years, Howard Stinger must be happy. I bet the company would overall be far worse off if he weren't there.
Bravia continues to impress (did you know Ken Kuturagi had a hand in those TVs, and the LCD deal that makes them a fair amount of money?)
