I don’t think Lin has done anything quite like this but he could do well with this potentially. Here’s hoping he gets someone good to polish the script first though.

He hasn't, but truthfully, no director has done a movie like this. It's a superhero story but One Punch Man is a different type of superhero story in its own weird little sub-genre.

I think what works in Justin Lin's favor is that he's worked on lots of different genres and worked on both big and small-budget pictures.

Like if anyone actually got to do a Robotech or Macross movie it'd be very difficult. No one has directed a movie like Robotech or Macross in live-action before because it has the elements of space opera, drama, romance, alien invasion, futuristic sci-fi, and the mecha aspect. It would not be cheap to pull off.
