Starts tonight on Adult Swim, basically the first anime to ever premiere on Western tv before Asia. Creators behind Cowboy Bebop and Soul Eater are on it. My body is ready, to dust off an old chestnut.

Damn, I missed it. Anywhere to watch it online?

I'm digging this so far. I like that old school sci-fi vibe this show has going for it. Anyway looking forward too tonight's episode.

dat zombie episode
dat cap in benefits
dat George A Romero reference

AOTY

It was pretty funny.

I want to compare the regular Japanese language one.

Getting caught up on this. I just watched the first three episodes, and I'm really enjoying a lot so far. It reminds me a lot of shows I used to like.

Any show that starts with boobies, boobies, boobies. Is aces in my book.

Have been catching this. Not.... Optimal is what I will say. It's also a prime example of why you should never see anything dubbed, especially Anime. The term "lost in translation" is best applied to this show. This is one man's view.

Well technically Watanabe made this for a western audience and the dubbing came first.

Then... My opinion is even lower. Sorry. I think I know the sort of satire and parody they are going for hear, but man, it just is not working for me. I love Gintama, and I think this is trying to be in that wheelhouse, with a much less heroic central character, but it's not working for me.
