I'm usually on the look out for a good new anime to watch, and was wondering if any of you had suggestions. I would never had watched El-Hazard if someone hadn't had told me it was on Youtube, and never had watched Bleach or Naruto subtitled versions if not for the same. So list what current (last few years, nothing too old, maybe late 90's on) animes you watch, and if you think their worth watching or if to stay away from them.
Bleach - A very good series, and only time I've been slightly bored was the arc after where the fillers started to let the manga end, but right before the Bounto arc, the part with the three soul mods (the girl, and two guys). Past that I've loved the rest of the series.
Naruto - A good series overall. I really liked the series a lot until the last 60+ episodes of filler that have been happening, but have heard in February that the filler ends, so should get good again. Watched a bit of the English dubbed version and can say I easily prefer the Japanese sub-titled versions.
Amaenaideyo - I tried watching, pretty sure it's made by the same ppl who made Tenchi. Overall I didn't get past the first episode, it's more or less lost all the charm the Tenchi series had and went straight for fan service. Even the scenes that were supposed to be funny had me yawning, it may pick up after a few episodes, but haven't cared to check.
Samurai Deeper Kyo - This series severly dissapointed me. It looked great when I started to download it, but if ever an anime series felt like a copy of others this is it. It litterally feels like they took parts of Kenshin, Bleach, Naruto, toss in some Tenchi, and a few others series, and put them in a blender and just dumped what came out onto T.V. I tried to give it a chance and have watched the first 3 episodes, but it's beyond cliche, almost every scene has me feeling I've watched that exact same scene, but in a different anime.
There were a few others I wanted to try but haven't gotten around to yet. Most of the animes I've watched in the past few years have been movies I've bought, or older series I missed, and a few from Adult Swim. Though with FMA I watched a few episodes on AS, then switched to dl'ing the rest of the series and movie and am glad I did, though it wasn't the worst dubbed series I've seen or anything. Also have watched the usuals like Cowboy Bebop and so on, more made this thread for the ones you still have to download in subtitles to watch that haven't made it on TV, though I know Naruto and Bleach have.
