Stan Bush, best know to Transformers fans for the songs "The Touch" and "Dare" from the original 1986 Transformers: The movie, has put up a message to his fans on his MySpace Blog. the following has been taken directly from his blog:

Stan Bush here.

Thanks for all of the kind words, you guys are the best. As you know I did submit a song to the producers of the new Transformers movie, and while it may not be represented on the soundtrack... Perhaps they will still feature one of my *other* songs somewhere in the film...

I would personally like to thank Brian Goldner, all of Hasbro, and the legions of G1 Transformers fans for helping me get a shot. Not to mention Seibertron.com, Tformers.com, and all of the other great fan sites.

The new album "IN THIS LIFE" is completed and is garnering rave reviews over in Europe and Japan. The official North American release date is 7.3.7. I am releasing this new album with two exclusive TRANSFORMERS tracks (including the song I submitted for the TRANSFORMERS film) through my label LA Records. Details will be coming very soon (as will MP3 samples).

This site will also be changing very soon. Look for the official STANBUSH.COM to be launching this month! Of course this MySpace page will not be going anywhere. It's served a great purpose of communication with everyone here.

Expect more. Very soon.

Until that day... Til All Are One!

Sincerely,
Stan Bush

Black Bumblebee dropped the news crew of Seibertron.com/news a line. He found a sample of Stan Bush labeled Transformers BotCon Theme (Till All Are One) on the site of L.A. Records.

Unlike the more recent releases of Transformers tracks that have been rehashes of the Transformers theme, this is actually a rehash of the Ground Zero song performed for BotCon a few years ago.

pretty cool.

I don't see why they couldn't put Stan Bush's song on the soundtrack. It would be one of the better songs on there.

I keep thinking that we'll hear "The Touch" coming out of Bumblebee at some point. I like this new song, too, although it still sounds like it's from the 80's and I can see why it wasn't chosen for the movie.

Ahh!!! Well that's you opinion- but that take on the theme sucks imo. Bush's is a THOUSAND times better than that. Their voice (Black Lab) in that song is terrible. Not even standing up for Stan Bush, since I'm not a fan of his and he doesn't have that nostalgia factor for me. Primarily posted this thread since I know the majority of the long time TF fans are. All I know is that imo, Black Lab's take on the theme isn't good. That's not rocking- that's scratching on a chalkboard.

dude - that stan bush song uses a sample from GARAGEBAND... the first frequency sound you hear - is a default sample stinger from the garageband podcasting suite...

gimme a break. the order of best themes is: black lab, mutemath, deceptibots, and then stan bush.

No, face it dude- your opinion is your opinion and not everyone is going to have YOUR fckin' god damn opinion. Face facts and move on. Give me a break, lmaol. Face facts and move on- your opinion is not fact.

Black Lab's voice, to me, sounds like scratching on a chalk board throughout the entire song- talking about their voice. The guys they have playing the music is good, their singer in that song sucks hard.

Oh my god, he's right. I have that sample in garageband. It's called Electro Static Accent 03, and it comes completely stock for everyone in the world to use. That is so lame. Couldn't he have tried a little harder. Guess it wouldn't have mattered. Stan is stuck.

well obviously Lion's is the best one. will always be the best one.

I agree the black lab vocals aren't stellar... they have released an instrumental of it as well, and that one kicks ass.

of course, just my opinion - but stan bush sounds like meat loaf to me.

Did they change singers for some unknown reason or did that guy just have a massive problem with his larynx the day they recorded that?

Because I loved "Learn to Crawl" from the SM soundtrack and I'm surprised that it could possibly be the same singer.

The singer just sounds very- different.

I think its the same guy. they posted a comment on the youtube video that was kinda funny.... i'll copy and paste it...

'hey everyone. paul durham here, the singer from black lab. I've been reading your posts and thinking - "maybe they're right. maybe I do suck." so I came up with a solution. I put our instrumental version of 'the transformers theme' up at blacklabworld. com/transformers, so that you can grab it and maybe lay your own vocals down. we're having a karaoke contest over there and figure there must be someone here with some chops. just import the mp3 into your fav multitrack recording, get your mic, do your stuff, and then mix it and send it to us at contact @ blacklabworld. com. I'll post it and then we'll have some kind of vote or something.

or, you can use the track for mashups or your own private karaoke uses. give it the ole' Lion!

ok, thanks,
paul'

lol - so now he kinda thinks that he sucked. ahahha

I don't know what they were going for if it is the same singer. His voice in "Learn to Crawl" was perfect... but, the type of voice they went with this song just sounds off and not like the same guy..... kind of like a clearing a throat singing voice, if that makes sense.

yeah, i just looked at their site, and its the same guy on both songs...
