Steroids Killing Destroying the Lives of the Animation World
by Jack Wonder
We see it all the time. Athletes with great ambition and ability, suddenly beefing up to larger sizes, and literally crushing the records held by America's heroes of yesteryear. It is a cultural detonator that is killing Americans far more than any suicide bomb. But is this really new information?
Back in the 1960s, the nation began experimenting with a great many things: hallucinogenic drugs, permiscuous sex, and yes, even steriods. Fred and Wilma Flintstone were the average stoneage family. But just like many families today, they have experienced a great tragedy when their godson Bam Bam, only 39 years old, died of an apparant steriod-induced drug overdose.
"When I last spoke to him, he was panicky & sad," said father Barney Rubble. "He had a lot on his mind after being dismissed from the rock quarries, and he had been spending an increasingly alarming amount of time at the tarpits!"
The tarpits of Bedrock have become the epicenter for illegal activity over the last few decades. Federal task forces have seized millions of sanddollars worth of property, since cracking down on the area in 2004. Still, the losses continue to rise.
The shocking death of Bam Bam Rubble comes at a time usually reserved for celebration.
"We were just christening in the new wheel when all of this came down," said Rock Quarry Managing Engineer Mr. Slate. "I knew Bam Bam had got into trouble with friends. But I didn't know the severity of the situation."
The sheriff's department is still at odds on the apparant overdose of Bam Bam.
"We're looking into all leads at this time, but it appears to be an accidental overdose, and not that of a suicide as earlier reported."
Bam Bam would have turned 40 on September 12.
