In other words, people don't like you...they like your wallet.

Not surprising, and not necessarily a bad thing. There is a correlation between people with good credit and people who make generally sound life decisions. Why wouldn't prefer a romantic partner with those qualities?

And it's not necessarily a materialistic thing. A lot of people with a ton of cool stuff are deeply in debt, and people who live modestly and don't have a lot to show off have impeccable credit.
