Study says women work better in warm environments while men work better in cold ones

I can't speak to the men, but I know that in every office I've worked in, if it's too cold my productivity slows down considerably. It's hard to type when your hands are freezing. Women I've worked with say the same thing.

I work from home and always have the window open if that helps, and the cat on my lap.

I work outside year around and I'd much rather work in cold weather than hot weather. I can put on a lot of layers and stay comfortable in the cold. But when its 100 degrees I cant take enough layers off to stay comfortable in the heat. Damn public "indecency" laws.:o

They needed to do a study for that?

I thought it was common knowledge among those who know human physiology the difference between male and female metabolic rates and how that may manifest. Hence, complaints about certain room temperatures.

Not to surprised has I think women tend to get to felling hot more than men do. For me has a man I love heat out side but tempature's fell way different to me indoors than outside I dont known if its because of the lack of air flow or what. Out side I love like 100 degree weather but inside if its like 80 I am dieing. Inside perfect tempature is like 72-74 to me. Also I would say if you have to work out side depending on what you have to ware makes a big difference has I would hate to have to work out side if its even 80 if I couldn't war shorts. It drives me nuts when people complain about heat but ware pants outside just because they are fat or something. If you are not forced to ware pants but do you than dont have the right to complain about heat.

As a man, I hate the cold (and get cold easily). I can function quite well in warmer climates. I do have a couple of male friends who get rather irritable when it gets hot though. I however, thrive in it.

Coldness is only nice when you're indoors with the heating or in front of a fire (preferably a contained fire that you opted to warm yourself up with, and not an accidental one that will soon become out of control, burn the house down and potentially kill you).

Yeah, my female co-workers were complaining about how cold it is in the break room a while ago and I felt fine. The same with female customers. They say it’s so cold in the store and personally, I feel warm. Then again, I’m running around near friers and ovens.

The heat does drive me crazy. I had to take my hat off at break tonight to cool down.

I work outside and ideally 65 would be the perfect every day weather, I'll take a 95 degree day over a below zero day. Not being able to feel your fingers and toes is horrible.

I'm a guy and I don't take the heat well, but my mom doesn't either. I'd rather be cold than hot because when it's cold you can dress up, while when it's some scorching hot summer day there's nothing you can do about it.

This reminds me of that College Humor sketch where the women were freezing cause the office A/C was always on.

Also with the heat there comes humidity and with humidity comes the wet sticky clothes after you've been outside for only two minutes. ****. That. ****.

Even though I love heat yeah I hate humidity I dont have a issue if its like 100 with low humidity but if its like 75 and high humid I am dieing. Hear in Ca thought dont get a lot of humidity days. Also the whole like being fater makes you hot is nothing but a myth. Some people just do better with cold and some with heat has nothing to do with your weight. I handle both heat and cold better than most but heat more then cold. When I was younger I was really skinning but from like 6-9 grade I gained like 100-20 lbs and now I am about 30 lbs over weight yet I dont get hot easier or cold any different than before when I was skiney.

I prefer the cold to the heat if those are my only choices. I find it really uncomfortable when it when it is extremely hot and humid. It's easier for he to get warm than it is for me to cool down.

AND men don't have the option of wearing workplace-appropriate sundresses. No wonder we have to be paid 30% more.
