Syfy's all-new drama series Being Human, starring Sam Witwer (Smallville, Battlestar Galactica), Meaghan Rath (The Assistants), Sam Huntington (Cavemen, Superman Returns) and Mark Pellegrino (Lost, Supernatural) has commenced production in Montreal, Canada. Adam Kane (The Mentalist, Heroes) is Director and Co-Executive Producer with Executive Producer Michael Prupas (The Kennedys, Pillars of the Earth) and husband and wife Executive Producers/Writers Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) and Anna Fricke (Men in Trees, Everwood). Muse Entertainment is producing 13 1-hour episodes for Syfy.

Being Human, a re-imagining of the acclaimed UK series created by Toby Whithouse, follows three paranormal, 20-something roommates living in Boston - vampire "Aidan" (Witwer), werewolf "Josh" (Huntington) and ghost "Sally" (Rath) - as they struggle to hide their dark secrets from the world, while helping each other navigate the complexities of living double lives and trying to be human. Mark Pellegrino plays Aidan's charismatic but menacing vampire mentor "Bishop."

The producer is Irene Litinsky (Human Trafficking, The Phantom) of Muse Entertainment, the director of photography is Pierre Jodoin (The Last Templar, Secrets of the Mountain) and the production designer is Zoe Sakellaropoulo (The Last Templar, The Phantom).

I thought the BBC version was pretty cool, this sounds good too. Also Sam Witwer

I know people around these parts are ridiculously anti-remake, most often understandably so, but the mixture of Witwer, Huntington, Pellegrino and one of Supernatural's best writers is pretty exciting to me.

But I cant really judge whether or not I'll watch it until we get a real trailer.

I've seen a few episodes of the BBC version and it's damn good stuff, I'm looking forward to this mostly cause Jacob is now tied to it. Too bad he isn't one of the main characters though.

Does Sam Witwer tweeze his eyebrows?

Lol, thats all I have to say.

Pellegrino is involved with this? I'm watching it!

First Jacob, then Lucifer, and now a charismatic vampire? This guy's getting some choice roles.

No, he's probably like me and just has really sinister eyebrows.
Sam "Sinister 'Brows" Witwer.

Witwer is in this? Mr. Starkiller from Star Wars The Force Unleashed games (which should be a movie) is awesome. He was good on Smallville. I'll watch this series now.

Should really give the BBC version a chance. Only BBC series I got into was Coupling.

This is kinda fun so far. Really liking all three new actors compared to the original british counterparts.

dammit, forgot about this

The werewolf in this remake is MUCH better than the one in the British version. Never got the big fuss over his actor in the British version.

Comes on again at 10 and 11....I'll record it after tonight's Hawaii five-o.

Watching The Cape and yeah noticed it's on 10 so can watch it then

Saw the episode tonight and loved it. It does not disrespect the original in anyway. It stays pretty faithful to the source material while bringing something different to it.

Was okay, will give it a shot. Really wish the vampires couldn't be prancing around in the day. It pretty much makes them invincible.

Witwer's got a good narrating voice.

Pellegrino looks creepy as ****.

Pretty good first episode. I'll continue watching this.

not bad, will watch

the vampire was the model and voice of Starkiller right? from Force Unleashed

Yes. Sam Witwer.

This was pretty good. Better than expected. Production quality was also light-years beyond the usual SyFy fare.

If they keep the same basic rules that were in first season of UK Being Human ( just got done with it and havent started S2 yet) then they arent that invincible since they dont have inhanced speed or much streangth.

But I thought this was ok, the effects were good and some of the changes were ncie aswell. Though dont know how I feel about the vamps having mind control powers. They also changed up the ghost death. Now we just need the main 3 to jel together since they didnt have that much time together in this episode.
