Since there's a few old faces popping up around here again, I thought we could use our own space to reteam and speculate on the marketing for B3..newcomers are welcomed as well :hoboj:

Let the games begin...

What elements from TDK's virals should/would return come B3? personally, I think the Gotham Times is a must, it was perfect. maybe this time they'll have more budget to make a more in-depth paper? Maiden Avenue Report has to return as well, we all found great clues in there..what else? CFB? GCN?

I really hope they bring back the Gotham Times. It seems like the viral guys had a lot of the inside scoop on things that would feature in the movie, such as the Joker calling cards, the Gotham Times - Jokerized version, CFB, and 'I Believe in Harvey Dent' campaign.

It seems to me if we have the viral marketing again, websites and things will be featured that play a part in the movie, so it's tough to say...I definitely think we might see the Gotham Times again...at least I'm hoping.

A lot depends on the villains that appear too. Of course I think the Riddler would be perfect for the viral marketing atmosphere...imagine the clues, puzzles and games we'll have to figure out! :awesome:

Im sensing a lot of riddles this time around.

I think that we'll definitely see the Gotham Times again - that feels like a "No Brainer" to me, but I've been wrong before.

This is all assuming WB decides to hire 42 Entertainment and run Viral Marketing.

Like maybe a Word Search or Crossword Puzzle in the Gotham Times?

What's black and white and red all over?

The Gotham Times of course!

What sees in the dark without any eyes?

I think they mentioned "Edward Nashton" in the Gotham Times during the TDK viral. I think he was the author of a letter to the editor or something, I'll have to look it up again. Anyways if The Riddler is going to be the next villain then I think the Gotham Times could play a key role. I think that would be a practical explanation for how he becomes known as "The Riddler," he uses it as a pen name when sending riddles to the Gotham Times.

I loved Gotham Times. It would be great to see it again.

They mentioned a lot of people, including Freeze and Penguin I believe.

Our best bet would be comic-con this summer, hoping something starts up then.

Oh yea... comic con...

At least a title for the movie...

i doubt Nolan will use fake titles again... everyone knows hes up to a Batman movie next

definitely a crossword in the Gotham Times..and make it subtle, not too big, maybe on the back page or something

I still wouldn't break the trend, maybe make a dumb Batman title as a fake lol

I still have my Gotham Times. I would love to see cross word puzzles and stuff if the Riddler is indeed the villain. Man to think how hard the Joker's games were for the virals, to add riddles to the mix....will be insane.

I doubt we will get anything big this ComicCon but man I remember CC 07, we felt like were helping out, calling that number. And the site, I remember lots of us did not think that was the Joker saying "Why So serious" on the site.

And then there was Rory, that was the longest month of my life, time seemed to crawl with Rory. I remember people had actually measured the candle. And how much it was going down day by day. I remember every day at that specific time we would wait for the new candle length in hope something else would happen.

Then when A Taste for the Theatrical came about. I remember the forums were so flooded we had to go to Jow's live chat to keep a live update on everything.

Ahh and the first bootleg trailer of the December trailer. Man good times. Can't wait to have more of em.

Hi, I'm new to SHH, been reading through a few threads, this one caught my eye. Got to say I was completely engrossed with TDK Viral campaign. Sadly I live in the UK so I didn't get to experience it first-hand.

The Gotham Times seems like such a great platform from which to filter through clues, and if the Riddler is to be Nolan's next villain I have to agree that a crossword puzzle would be ideal. Do you think there were any aspects of the marketing campaign that won't be utilised this time round (assuming a similar marketing strategy is used)?

If, as I hope, Mr Reese is also The Riddler, then I think it makes sense for Edward Nashton to be one and the same, as well. This way, the same individual can be seen to carry a number of aliases (is that the plural), with E. Nigma being one of them, too.

How sweet would it be if they revealed the actual name of the movie in a crossword puzzle in the Gotham Times?

Anyone know where we can get 4 day passes for Comic-Con? I know they are sold out but is there anyway to get anymore?

I heard something about waiting for them to list more on eBay??

That would be pretty cool, though if they were to use the crossword angle, they'd need to be careful not to wear it out as I imagine people could grow tired of it. What other puzzles etc did they use last time?

Where to begin lol

They should rent out a room in a tenament somewhere and decorate it as though The Riddler lived there.
The viral campaign should end with a select few finding a key for the room and getting tickets for the premier or something.
I mean, if they can hide stuff in a bowling alley, why not go one better and actually rent out a room somewhere? That would be incredible.

Haha, I take it there was a lot going on then! From what I've read 42 Entertainment put together something of a masterpiece, would've like to have been a part of it. Did you see it through from start to finish AirUpThere?
