Team owners

Maybe Brown's kids will be like Rocky Wirtz; owner of the Chicago Blackhawks. His father the previous owner was a total idiot, but the son has really turned things around and the Hawks are going in the right direction.

One would hope, as the fans have done a great job of supporting the team thru this period of losing, selling out several games each year.
On the same topic, across town, the Reds who have one of the smallest payrolls in MLB and who have the lowest revenue, have a owner who is committed to winning, bringing in Walt Jocketty who helped build the St. Louis Cardinals who won the world series a couple years ago.
They are spending money on free agents as well as not raising ticket prices this year, which is one of the few teams that is.
Another team, that is a small market team that has a excellent front office and ownership that isn't thought of, is the Columbus Bluejackets, I know they have not been to the playoffs yet, but this season looks promising, with the recent passing of the founding owner John H. McConnell, his son who is just like his dad have run a classy organization with fans first.

I don't think Woody Johnson is a good owner, although he is certainly not the worst and is willing to spend some money on the team.

Woody Johnson is an idiot for going on vacation when the Jets needed a new coach.

No kidding. Any owner that wouldn't allow his team's games to be televised has no clue and the ceremony they held last year on opening night when the fans cheered his passing tells you all you need to know.

Of course hiring John McDonough as President away from the Cubs was huge. He is doing a great job of bringing back former players and re-energize the fan base. It's great to see them starting to thrive again and they still have the best Home uni in Hockey hands down.

If was reading another stat right, the Blackhawks this season have the best attendance in the league.

Wouldn't suprise me. The United Center holds what, like 19,000+ for hockey. If they don't lead they are right up there. I know Montreal sells out all the time and I think the Bell Centre holds 20,000+. So the Hawks have to be up there.

That's why I said he's not a good owner.

I just felt like posting that. I'm not a Jets fan or into football but I know about it since I watch a lot of sports coverage.
