huh. Interesting article. Teachers really should get paid a HELL of a lot more than that. I graduated with an art (animation and illustration) degree, and with my first full time gig, I'm getting over 10k more then that highest pay on that list, and i just doodle all day.

I just found it funny that after the statistics were shown, it says:

"If you'd rather end up with one of the best-paying college degrees, you'll have to major in something that requires a lot of math classes."

As if that person is shoving it in our faces :cmad:

And I have a degree in Graphic Design :csad:

Basically if you're doing something that's not corporate related, you should probably hold up liquor stores on the side.

What are we defining as "corporate"?

I don't even have a degree and I'm making over $42k studying engineering

I was great in graphic design in high school and was awesome in middle school doing Music..I just knew they wouldn't turn out to be good career choices..

They make better hobbies anyway..

Which is why Education should definitely be higher..

Social Workers get paid crap. I see postings for Social Workers requiring Masters and their start rate is $30k.

Exactly what type of job is that? It sounds great:oldrazz:

And I agree with everyone else. Educators are terribly underpaid.

I guess I'll never have one, then.

That sux man...my mom is a teacher and I get paid about 10K more than she does. Teachers should make way more than that, if it weren't for them that person wouldnt have been educated enough to even write that article....bastards

Did you go to some fancy school or somethin?

i'm kind of a jack of all trades at my job: concept art, animation, and graphic design for games.

HA! I went to the art institute of philadelphia. furthest thing from fancy you could imagine.

What? English wasn't on the list?

And I've always found it strange that teaching is not a well-paid profession in the US. Where I am in Canada, teachers can be very well-paid.

Anyone who complains about ONLY making any of those amounts needs to be taken out back and have the greed beaten out of them.

Yeah, I agree. And, while I think teachers should make more, it always bothered me when I had a young, single teacher complaining about making $40-$50k a year. My mom raised 4 kids by herself on half of that.

stuffs more expensive these days. ESPECIALLY college. Most college graduates i know are just as or more broke than those who didn't go to school because of their loans.

Don't forget moose. There are moose there.

You need the free health care and more money to deal with the stray moose. In America, we only have stray cats and dogs.
