A domain for Avengers: Battle for Earth has been registered by Marvel (via brand protection company MarkMonitor) and is currently parked on a Ubisoft server, according to whois data unearthed by the URL sleuths at Fusible.

As there have been no official announcements of any sort, the chances of Avengers: Battle for Earth being a super high-octane movie tie-in blockbuster are just as good as it being some sort of social farming/drawing/word search cash in for iOS and/or Facebook. We're keeping our fingers crossed for the first option, but at this point we'll take what we can get.

You obviously haven't seen The Avengers yet

I agree with Pat, actually, even after seeing Avengers. I wish they got someone who is actually Russian or looks old enough to be the best spy in the world (or at least old enough to remember the Cold War). I just didn't feel it. She felt like eye candy and Whedon's typical strong female cliche. I loved the movie, but she was the weak link IMO.

I think she was great as Widow. Not every actress is beautiful, intelligent and can act like her.

How do you know that she is intelligent? ;)

Honestly though, I think I could've overlooked it if she had a smaller role. Whedon tried so hard to make her the uber-badass. She never really fit with The Avengers though. I think she would've made a lot more sense in a slightly bigger Maria Hill-type role than a part of The Avengers. I would've preferred her slot filled by Antman and Wasp. But it is a really good movie. She is my one complaint because she feels out of place and isn't really the right type of actress for Widow (no matter how talented she is).

Oh I heard it all through interviews of other movies she's been in.
Fortunately, I enjoyed her in the Avengers. This is the first time I see anyone complaining about her, actually.

Why are we talking about her? Battle for Earth...I hope that is a kick-ass game that comes to the consoles.

I have hope for this game since it seems like Ubisoft is making it & they're like the best game company out there currently.

Good point. I hope it isn't a take on the Ultimate Alliance engine. Frankly, as UA2, to me anyhow, proved that engine is kind of dated and played out. I'd like to see it run on the Infamous engine. Obviously, less open (we really don't need an open world Avengers game) but I mean the scale, the level of destruction, the use of powers, etc.

A fighter may not be terrible either.

I wouldn't think Ubi would pick up a title like that (and its enormous profit potential) to just make a dinky smartphone app. I'm willing to believe that Battle for Earth is going to be A Thing, and I'm excited to hear the Ubisoft name attached to it.

And I hope Scarjo does all the mocap and voice acting for Widow in it. ;)

Maybe they'll base it off that First Person Avenger game that was scrapped lol.

I hope the game ends up being a 3rd person action adventure. With all characters playable.

Or at least Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor.

God I'm dying for an Avengers game. What villians should appear do you think?

I reckon use the Kree Skrull War as the big baddie with Zemo, The Masters of Evil and Norman Osborn as back up baddies that you also have to deal with. Then at the end...a hint towards Ultron as the villian.

And please, no cell shading!

I'm trying not to let my expectations run too high. I don't like being disappointed.

Why Norman Osborn? GG has nothing to do with the *real* Avengers, only the Bendisvengers.

I think Scar-Jo sucks as Widow.

I haven't seen Avengers yet, but I have never liked her tbh! I simply don't get how so many dudes drool at the sight of her. She's very unattractive to me and isn't that good of an actress either. The Prestige is one of my favourite films but I just don't like any of the scenes where she's involved.

Kinda like saying Cap should be played by someone old enough to remember WWII...

We'll not mention these obviously facetious remarks about my girl Black Widow.

Sounds like it could be a decent game. I'd love to see multiplayer 3PS-angled gamepaly, with six different 'classes' one for each Avenger. That'd pretty much make my day. And since it likely won't be centered on a movie tie in (but would correspond with Avengers 2's release) they'll have plenty time to work on it AND incorporate other Avengers. This sounds like a win-win. Go Ubisoft!

That would be perfectly sound logic if Cap were an old man who actually lived through the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s. Except he wasn't. He was frozen. Widow on the other hand actually lived through the Cold War (as implied by the film's dialogue). Therefore she should've been old enough to reflect that. But then fanboys couldn't look at "teh boobiez," I suppose.

If characters in the comics can take a potion type thing that stops aging. Why can't they in the movies ? They won't spill out every little detail in The Avengers you know. They have to save some stuff for future appearances

Why is this even being discussed in this thread?

I hope this is a proper console game made by Ubisoft. That would be awesome.

I kind do hope that its the first person perspective. I thought that was a really awesome idea and completely different than what any of us were expecting. It looked like a combination of Bulletstorm and Borderlands.

I kinda agree with jick here one of scar jo first movies was a comic movie called ghost world and
she stated she was into all those comic's some what when they were starting the whole comic movie craze. now as to the movie it's self it's obvious it's a mix of ultimate with a few elements of 616. but mostly ultimate.

and with the ultimate one there's still a lot they didn't dive into that much. as she said her self in the Ep interview it's possible she doesn't take that much personally and she might not have that much to avenge .

cause of that. compared to the actual 616 one that was killed by the "hand" once in Dare devil and brought back to life just before Electra was brought back life the same way and they only really went into her back ground with what happened to her in the black widow project in recent year in of the 616 universe during civil war.

well that's kinda a debatable thing seeing that they stated in the comic's that cause the super soldier serum he would would lived that same way black widow would have if you believe that dark raven haired chickwith the optic beam powers from external's that's on the avenger's roster.

though it was shown he'd live a long time in earth x he'd still age and have the old man face if allowed to do so if not killed so he won't have what she has. as a said before in my former post they only went into the black widow project in recent years.

The Avengers: Black Widow Profile – VIDEO

We're celebrating the release of The Avengers by taking a look at each Marvel hero assembling in the film. Today it's the Russian super spy Black Widow...

her serum was variant of that of caps but they claim not as good. plus you have to remember the fact she was kid when he(steve ) first ran in to her so... lol Bucky on the other hand is lucky he's still alive compared to them both with out any of those serums in his system and he was put through occasion of freezing .

btw I kinda felt the same way you do about this with mystique in the X-Men movies she could actually been played by an actress that looks like her.

Sofia laren. in of Rebecca romaine stamoes that was more old holly wood hornyness then fanboy wanting see boobs at work. it's was the fact they want them young period for their dirty old man needs there.

but I feel scar jo's been doing fine especially with what she was given for this character.

I find interesting they chose to announce this game after this was said
