2003 Dunk Contest - imho one of the best in the past decade and created/continued a good rivalry between J Rich and D Mason


2004 Dunk Contest - start of the horrible decline, imho J Rich should have won again.


I think the last several years have been horrible, unlimited attempts, popularity contest, dunks based more on gimmicks than ability and unimpressive D Howard and Nate Robinson but the 2011 was decent and had some impressive dunks.

One of my all time favorites..."Sweetness" they don't make athletes like him anymore, both through his sheer will power, athletic ability and class.

Arguably the best corner and certainly as entertaining as any professional athlete ever and one of the fastest NFL players ever.

Jim Brown - Hard not to have a greatest running back ever or greatest football player ever and not mention Jim Brown.



Reggie White


Lawrence Taylor - Considered by many as the greatest NFL defensive player ever.


Ronnie Lott - I am bais, 49er fan and grew up watching the 80's & 90's domination, but no matter what team you like, Ronnie Lott I feel has earned the respect of every NFL fan. Instead of missing the playoffs he opted to have the top joint of his pinky amputated. He did not have it cut off during a game as the legend has grown. Even still....


Dick Butkus - Intimidation personified and crusher of offensive players. Also considered by many to be the greatest defensive player ever.


Deacon Jones - His name may be lost on the youth of today, but should be one that is ingrained into the brain of every NFL fan, especially ones that love defense. Inventor of the headslap.
