I saw the X-Men one, and wondered if someone could put up some similar one of Batman, Thanks in Advance

this is the only thing i've colored batman related. you can tell i'm a newbie when it comes to coloring
 
I think the biggest problem with it is Supes is just too bright. But it's still pretty cool.

i think you're right. i'm by no means a colorer. even as a kid i couldnt color in the lines. but i agree with you, he is too bright.

Well, there's two ways of doing it (remember, I do all my stuff in Corel Painter 9).
First, you select the skincolor you want from the color palette, then you choose a brush from the acrylics section (I prefer Opaque Detail Brush 3), and color only the "shadow parts" of the face. Next, you select a blending tool (I use Soft Blender Stump for the most part) and make the skincolored parts blend with the (still) white parts.
Or, you can color the face entirely with the skincolor, and then select white on your brush and highlight the "sunexposed" parts of the face. Next, you do the same blending stuff as above.
Having a picture in front of you of a face in the sun (preferably from the same angle as the face in the drawing) will help you a lot with the colouring.
Of course, you'll only need such a picture the first few times, after that, you'll automatically know what to highlight and what to darken.

yeah it was. hopefully once this crazy week of work is over, i can find some time to practice
