I'm fan of the jazz/soul genre, but it seems like the brits have the singers over here beat in that arena. Females like Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae, they jam moreso than Erykah Badu and Macy Gray on this end of the pond. First those limey actors take our best superhero characters and make them their own, now they're beating us out in the soul musak department. What a world.

Yea, I'm a huge Corrine Baily Rae fan, but in all seriousness very few of them can compete vocally with the likes of Jill Scott and Mary J, who I believe are still neo-classic R&B singers, right?
