The Crazy Ones

“My life is a better place because I knew Robin Williams, To my children he was Uncle Robin, to everyone he worked with, he was the best boss anyone had ever known, and to me he was not just an inspiration but he was the Father I had always dreamed of having.
There are not enough adjectives to describe the light he was, to anyone that ever had the pleasure to meet him. I will miss him everyday, but I know the memory of him will live on. And to his family, I thank them for letting us know him and seeing the joy they brought him. Us crazy ones love you.”

- Sarah Michelle Gellar on Robin Williams death

:(:(:(

:waa:

Don't be sad guys, he will live forever throughout all his work, I'm already on a crazy Robin binge, and will probably keep it going for a few days.

Right now, he's probably killing everyone up there with laughter. Beautiful bastard.

A good read at Cracked by one of the head editors that might help some understand why Robin Williams committed suicide. Some language in it so I don't think I can link to it but the title will be obvious.

I really hope this is true. :)

I really do wonder sometimes whether Robin would've killed himself if the show had still been going. Considering all the factors, I have to imagine he probably still would have. But I just wonder about it.

Sadly, that was one of the first things that came to my mind when the news hit that he committed suicide and that he was depressed. A canceled show has to sting for any actor.

I wonder about that to, I personally think it might have had happened since he would've been busier promoting the show and gearing up to shoot it.

Count me in the same camp about wondering if the show stayed if it would have helped. I think it would have, especially since it was depression that was the main driver behind it. It likely would have only held the act back for a little while, but it might have given more time for someone else to see something to help him get the help he needed.

I think a lot of it had to do with the Parkinson's diagnosis. He would have bounced back with another role, he had plenty of friends in Hollywood who would have gladly helped him out if he had gone to them. At least that's what I believe.

This was actually a pretty good show. A modern Just Shoot Me, but I think it was on the wrong network. This would have lasted on ABC. :(
