I would love a Siberian Husky as a pet but I live in Florida and I would hate to have one in such a horribly hot environment. Also I heard that they don't really become too attached to one person they are kind of all over the place with loyalty

I can't say about the loyalty issue, but I too live in Florida, and have seen many Huskies(and one St. Bernard) here. They just need a pool or something to spash around in when it gets hot.

nice you live in St Pete I have a few friends down there Mangle, I live in Orlando. Its brutal in the middle of the state and I'd hate to have a dog that has all those layers to keep them warm for winters that are non existent here haha.

i would disagree

i've had three. they shed year round and lots of people don't know it but they love to dig and chase birds. in the warmer seasons, their coats come in a lot thinner and a slighty diff texture.

Im sorry for such a sad story but THIS is one of the many reasons why I will always love a dog far more than a cat. Dogs unrelenting love and companionship for their humans are stronger bonds then most humans find in one another.
