but seriously, probably want to see all of my favorite bands in concert, like the Beatles, The Doors, Meat Loaf, ect.

Gah, messing up time line not cool. No matter the event. Haven't you heard of the butterfly effect? I'm sure if someone went back in time and did all this, the 'new future'' would correct itself somehow with even worse events.

Questions. How do you prevent the Vietnam War? Especially when JFK, who you apparantly save in Dallas, was escalating the conflict? Are we talking about the Vietnamese civil war starting after the expulsion of the French or just the American involvement? Why not prevent the Second World War, which was more dastardly than Vietnam? How do you prevent something like war?

Where do you get the money for funding better levees? How do you fund and enforce that Second Bill of Rights? How do you "allow" this to happen? Why not allow me the simple right to exist as an individual in this world with a right to my own earnings, to do with as I please?

Well, it was an assasination of a public figure, just like King and Kennedy. So, you would know exactly how to prevent it, unlike other early deaths of rockstars, which are usually down to misadventure. I mean, you could probably kick down the door to Elvis' toilet and grab that last burger he was injecting into his back, but he would probably die of misadventure the next day or week or month just as easy.

He may not have had the impact on the world that those two politicians would have in a What If? scenario, but, damn, it was not a good thing for the world in the sense of keping up morale, to see such a beloved public figure being gunned down.

and I would throw Ghandi in the DeLorean too if you are going back to save important leaders from assasination.

That is what I would do, go see the Doors, Hendrix, Pink floyd, the 13th Floor elevators, the Beatles, the Stones(in their early 70s prime), Sly and the Family Stone, Nick Drake...

yeah, but he doesn't sound nearly as good as he did back in the 70's, Bat Outta hell is best he's ever sounded. even in bat outta hell II you can hear him shying away from those high power notes and singing lower registers.

But how do you know those changes would be for the better?
Perhaps somebody killed on 9/11 or in Hurricane Katrina or by the VC would have had a descendant who would be the Next Hitler.
Talking of Hitler, I'm not so sure killing him would be such a great Idea. At that point, Germany was ripe for fascism. If Hitler would've died, perhaps a worst dictator would've risen to power.
