The Departed - Final Theatrical Version of Tailer!

Looks ok... I don't know, seems like another bland thrown-to-together action flick. I'll see it, but doesn't look like it'll be amazing.

And that song at the end?! What a horrible choice for music at that point... just horrible!!

It's Scorcese I'd be very surprised if it was "just another" anything. Sometimes I wonder if you kids really know any directors besides Quentin Tarrantino, Whedon, and Rodriguez.

The movie looks great, but the music at the end sounds crappy and have no connection with this film.

I posted this in the other thread for this movie. Looked awesome except for the horribe cover of "Comfortably Numb" at the end.

And why does Wahlberg of all people get the prestigious "And" credit in the billing? That should've been Jack's spot.

I liked, looking foward to it. Too bad they put a bad version of Comfortably Numb at the end (i think it's a live version) instead of the original.

hey, those are great directors!!

haha... no I'm joking... I know Scorcese of course, but just because it's him, doesn't mean anything. Maybe it's the way the trailer is laid out, because to me, the story is just about fully described (give or take how it ends) and I can see a lot of the action and what's going to take place... and honestly, it just looks like a bland action flick - personal f**ckin' opinion.

Meh, I'll see it. I saw that original hong kong (I dunno) movie it's based on, was pretty cool.

Gimme Shelter playing at the beginning?
Scorsese?
Nicholson?
Cool story?

I will definitely see this:up:

Oh ****, that Comfortably Numb cover at the end is ****...

Wait? That's actually Pink Floyd performing it?

I loved the use of "Gimme Shelter" in the beginning, though.

I don't like how it just cuts out though. Didn't seem very organic.

Yeah, I guess.

I'm assuming Scorcese is a pretty big Stones fan. He had quite a few of their songs in Goodfellas.

Nicholson looks so badass in this, BTW.  :)

Yeah, I love the use of the music, I just wish it would have:

A) Continued
B) Faded out a bit more gracefully
C) Transfered somehow into the regular music.

Actually, all of the music in the trailer felt kind of sloppy. I'm not sure why Comfortably Numb comes in at the end.

So this is just the same one posted in the other thread ? with the same horrible music that kills the drama ?:(

I'm pretty sure it's from a live performance...but I wouldn't really know if that's Pink Floyd or not (it doesn't sound much like Gilmour's voice, even if it is live).

EDIT: It's Roger Waters with Van Morrison from The Wall: Live In Berlin (1990). In case anyone is curious.

For once there's a remake of an Asian film that I'm actually wanting to go and see.

Looks interesting, trailer isn't terribly compelling though.

The trailer- eh. But, the talent behind it? I'll be there opening night.

Jesus, whoever cut that trailer sucks :down.

TV-spots look awesome. And thank God this time they went with another music.

emm....produced by Brad Pitt!!!!

Looks great and I can't wait to see it.
