I don't typically buy Stormwatch but I picked up last issue and enjoyed it. I'm not really looking for new books to pick up so I'll skim this one and decide then if I want to continue on with it.

The others I'm excited for. Though the series has been somewhat lackluster, I've recently re-skimmed Defenders and I liked it more than the first read. This is the last issue of the series and I'm curious how it plays out. My one hope is that when they resurrect everyone, they also resurrect the Immortal Weapons. Here's hoping!

I had first heard of Wire from the Burning Ambitions comp LP back in 1984... the song on the comp was 12XU... and then bougth Pink Flag in 1985...

I've seen some people consider Darkhawk a goner since he's well known enough that his death might make a headline or matter more.

The announcement of this series genuinely made me angry. Now it has settled back into general bitterness. I'd like for Marvel to figure out something constructive for newer characters rather than toss them into meat-grinders or leave them at the whim of writers who demand such things for their third string rip offs of other stories. After all, Miss America Chavez and Noh-Varr have settled on the good roll of the die with YOUNG AVENGERS and Gillen. Alas, some of the Academy kids have turned up snake eyes. While I imagine some of the new "Braddock school" kids may be red-shirts, but I imagine at least a few newer characters who haven't had a chance or been botched for most of the last 10-15 years will get whacked just for shock value in a knock off story which has zero purpose or narrative fuel but that.

I'm expecting it and not looking forward it. I expected him to die at the end of issue one but solicits for a future issue mention him maybe going crazy, which doesn't surprise me. He has had a history of that due to his human psychology not meshing with the jewel that empowers him, it being made for the shi'ar.

If he dies, he dies... I just hope it's done well. Thankfully, death means nothing in comics. Can't get too upset about it.
