Microsoft announce Australian HD-DVD date and Price...

Whilst delivering their keynote speech for the eGames expo Microsoft has confirmed that the HD DVD Drive will be available in early 2007 and will retail for $249.95. For that price you'll even get a free copy of Peter Jackson's King Kong bundled in.

This is great news for Australia and even compares favourably to the US price of the drive, which is $199.95 US (rougly$261).
