why hasn't there really been a film on these biblical beings?

there have been references here and there in some films and tv series but no actual film solely based on them

just curious it seems like great material for a film i have liked what the video game series darksiders has done with them

thoughts??

There was supposed to be a film based on the novel Good Omens about 10 years ago, but that never took off the ground. The 4 horsemen (3 horsemen, War takes the form of a beautiful woman with flaming red hair) were characters in that story.
