While that is pretty funny, it's my turn to be "that guy". I heard somebody's theory that it's not supposed to said in a way that shows "a bird oh my gosh a bird I've never seen one!" but rather it plays out like this:

MAN 1: Look! Up in the sky!
People look up, and see a small, flying speck
MAN 2: Dismissive It's a bird.
MAN 3: Also dismissive ...Nah, it's a plane.
MAN 1: No! It's Superman!

And now I'll go away and see what other jokes I can ruin.

This is only true when it's a woman asking a man. If it's a guy asking someone else, we're basically saying, "I'm gonna get something to eat, if you want to join me, that's cool, but you're paying for your own food."

Not true. I had a male friend who used to pull this trick on a lot of us and I really hated him for it. We would pass by a McDonald's and he would try to convince one of us that we were hungry and should buy something, and if we did, he'd say he'll pay us back later for food, but he never did.

I really wish he would've kept those tricks just for school. The first time he used it was he convinced me to buy a new suit because we passed by a store that was having a sale where you buy 2 for $125. I wasn't going to buy anything until he promised to pay me back if we went half and half so we could each get one. I paid for them both with my credit card (which ended up getting me into serious debt just in time for Christmas), but to this day, he still has not paid me back. Needless to say, we are no longer friends.

But yes, guys are capable of pulling that too.

They had to. I mean all of a sudden in the second movie Harry's butler goes from a human to an ape? The only thing more baffling than the fact the scene was thought up was that it got fully CG'd before being cut.
