It's alright if you look at it in a Evil Dead sense (even then it's just mediocre) but it was so disappointing after the first two.

Oh definitely, [REC]2 is still my fave, but I thought the whole of [REC]3 was great, but the horror kind of did go down not too long after the went from First Person view to cinematic view. I don't think first person view makes them scarier, I just felt that it was a clear marker of it taking a turn for lesser quality.
