I don't care enough about the movie or Spider-Man to even go there on a regular basis, and the movie forums are cesspools anyway.

Don't be mad we're finally getting a good Spider-Man movie.

We have. Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were both good movies. Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether or not this one will be good as well, seeing as how it's not out yet. I'm only judging it based on what I've seen thus far, and nothing aside from the two quips have been received positively by me.

And I agree that Spider-man and Spider-man 2 were good movies that fanboys are too hard on.

In the SKyfall thread? When people were complaining that the interrogation/questioning scene in the Skyfall trailer was too reminiscent of 24

Oh, I just ignored most of the people complaining about the trailer in the thread since some of them got stupid. The thread is much better when there's little news going on or days after big news when most nonregulars of the thread are gone.

Most people think Spider-man 2 was good.

I hated them both, so hopefully ASM will be the first Spider-man movie I like.

SM2 is my favorite movie, mostly because its what got me into the character and the world of comics as a whole. Looking back, I think its easy to pick out things, but I feel like most of the hate comes based on how poor SM3 was received in comparison to the first now. And now with a reboot that appears to be a more comic friendly as opposed to kid friendly, I think the first two are not looked at in the same way, which is very unfair because they were great, especially during their time.

I loved the first 2 Spider-man films and I don't really have any big excitement for the reboot but I'll be seeing it in the theater when it comes out. Hell....I haven't seen Spider-Man 3 in a while but I never hated it that much.

I've been saying for years that the flaws of Spider-man 3 made the flaws of the first 2 movies more evident, which is why there was a backlash of the first two after Spider-man 3.

To some people it's like that scene in family from the 80s episode when Brian sings Never Gonna Give You Up and when he does singing solo, a guy says "I didn't like any of that" after dancing to the whole song before.
