Bring 'em all in, I say!

Someone look up what Kenneth Choi (Jim Morita), Derek Luke (Gabe Jones), JJ Feild (James Montgomery Falsworth), Bruno Ricci (Jacques Dernier) and of course, Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Duggan) are up to these days. If not all of them, I believe Dum Dum at the very least is a must.

I would love for the Howling Commandos to be SSR's go-to special ops team, with Agent Carter giving them intel/recon/orders/instructions, and even joining them on the odd field mission.

And of course, completely decimating SSR's alcohol reserves when not on mission. :)

I'm going to watch regardless but if all 5 are regulars then I'll be even more excited.

If I'm remembering correctly, doesn't Peggy end up with Gabe Jones at some point in the comics?

Also, in CA:TWS the archived footage of Peggy has her talking that she came to know her husband through Cap... but they never expanded on that to include any names from my recollection.

According to IMDB...

Kenneth Choi (Jim Morita) - 2014 Coercion (TV Movie) (pre-production)

If that's all he's doing, TV movie production should only tie him up for a couple weeks this summer. So, he should be free to do this.

Derek Luke (Gabe Jones) - 2015 Selfless (post-production) and 2014 Supremacy (post-production)

With both in post-production, Derek should be totally freed up, unless there's something announced in the pipeline.

JJ Feild (James Montgomery Falsworth) - Nothing listed that JJ's working on. He has a movie coming out this year, but that's it.

Bruno Ricci (Jacques Dernier) - Same deal as JJ. Nothing being worked on presently, but has a completed film coming out this year.

Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Duggan) -
2015 They Might Be Kennedys (pre-production), 2015 To Appomattox (TV Mini-Series) (pre-production), 2015 Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (filming), 2014 Greater (post-production), 2014 The Jesuit (post-production)

Wow. Mr. McDonough is quite a busy man. With a film and a mini-series in pre-production, currently filming a movie in production, and potentially looking at re-shoots for two post-production projects, Neal would be hard-pressed to find time for this series.

However, seeing as how the two post-production projects are a film and mini-series, the amount of time for filming may be relatively short.

So...it definitely looks promising for the Howling Commandos! :woot:

In the comics, yes. However, there were photos of kids at Peggy's bedside in CA:TWS. I'm assuming they were her children. They looked quite Caucasian, so I'm thinking it wasn't Gabe she ended up marrying.

Then again, maybe Peggy did marry Gabe Jones, but they didn't have kids. Maybe those weren't her kids, but her nieces/nephews... which could make one of them (probably the boy) Sharon's parent. Ok, I'm going down the speculation rabbit-hole here, as I'm prone to do. *climbs out for a bit* :)

I think there's room for all of them as guest actors and they probably could have them as regulars if they have the budget for a large cast and aren't worried about distracting from Miss Carter. The season is smaller, so that'll also help the actors squeeze in episodes before heading off to other projects.

Of the group, Gabe Jones appeals to me the most because of the present day Agent Tripplett connection and because you might as well deal with 1940s racism to go with their 1940s sexism.

If we don't at least get guest appearances in Season 1 for Dum Dum Dugan and Howard Stark, I'll be very confused and disappointed because of the set-up from the One-Shot.

Same here...I hope that at the very least DumDum will appear since he was in the one-shot.

I agree, Dugan was by Nick's side for quite a few years in the comics. You would think he'd be in this at least

Now that Hayley Atwell has let the cat out of the bag that Dominic Cooper (young Howard Stark) will indeed be a part of the series, can these guys be far behind?

Don't fail us now, ye comic book gods... give us our Howling Commandos! :)

They would not all be need at the same time. Since they live in different cities and countries they could be a local asset that she works with for the mission she on.

I wouldn't want them all to be in the same situation from the movie.

Perhaps a couple join SHIELD, Gabe and Dum-Dum, as they were in the comics.

The other three can be occasional allies. Say, Falsworth works for British intelligence. Morita works for the government, and so on.

I was just pondering the use of Agent Triplett's Howling Commando gadgets from his grandfather in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Think about the tech they were using: A cigerette laser? a hand-held hypno beam? It's Cold War spy/secret agent stuff! The Howlers, as they were led by Cap during WWII, were soldiers, not spies, so the fact that Trip has a trunk full of spy gizmos that were used by the Howling Commandos themselves suggests that they had further adventures, outside of Captain America's command. Perhaps this is a bit of a hint that we'll be seeing some more action featuring the team in Agent Carter? I think that would be pretty awesome.

I`m sure this might have been mentioned before, but for those who don't know:

FALSWORTH is the last name of several UNION JACKs in the comics, to include the original. If we`re lucky we might get our (1st costumed) 2nd British hero (Carter being 1st) developed in AC, since this will be a cold war spy action series.

With the recent news, I'm somewhat confident that we'll see at least some of the Howlers (Dum Dum and Morita) on Agent Carter.

One little piece of intrigue... I'm a little confused as to why McDonough and Choi were left off the cast list for the Agents Of SHIELD pilot episode, when they clearly appear in the above promotional poster.

Well Neal McDonough was at Disneyland yesterday with his friends or family waiting to get the special access for the handicap to get on Space Mountain and I assume also enjoying all the perks of Club 33. He noticed me because I was the only person who knew his name, some women around me were saying they remembered him from Desperate Housewives. I was telling them no he's Dum Dum Dugan from Captain American The First Avenger, or Lieutenant Hawk from Star Trek: First Contact.

Let's hope he jumps on board with this new show!

I went to Disneyland once with my family, and the whole time I was plotting on how to get into Club 33. Needless to say, I was unsuccessful.

I would love these guys to show up on occasion as a bunch of irascible yahoos that Carter has to get in line to concentrate on a mission at hand. Kind of like Snow White and the 7 (5) dwarves.

One of them was seen in the trailer for an upcoming episode of Agent Carter:

yeah can't find that trailer yet

Gabe Jones had children and was part of early Shield. He was Tripp's grandfather
