The Illusionist

There IS a movies forum.

Wow...

Didn't the movie come out, like, forever and a half ago?

Never saw it, but this movie came out in the summer.

...well, if you live in the U.S.

same
waiting for it to release on dvd

I honestly think it may be better then the Prestige

two totally different movies, Illusionist is a character movie, a seductive affair between Norton, and Giamatti, and the Prestige is a directors craft, I liked both, but I think Illusionist could possibley be the better movie

I'd take it a step further and say it WAS better than The Prestige.

impossibly good, much better than "the prestige"

It looks like a knockoff of the prestige.

I never saw it. Most people i know who did see it though said the Prestige was much better.

i would like 2 see it and i would like 2 see the prestige also

Looks great but is way different than The Prestiege. Two totally different stories but magic has had a great year in films.

Nowhere close

They are two totally different movies

Prestige, a directors craft, myestery, suspense, thriller, what cards does Chuck Nolan have up his sleeve for the next frame.

Illusionist=Great actors giving stellar performances, there is a romance between Jessica Beil, and Ed Norton, but that hardley goes noticed, the real romance is Giamatti and his intriuge in what Norton does, and how he does it. Norton uses his Illusions to seduce Giamatti, and think irationally at crucial times in work, and making him believe things that aren't actually happening. Thus, making Norton the Illusionist, creating something that wasn't there for Giamatti

really fine movie

I tried hard not to sleep throughout The Illusionist.
Just plain boring, IMO.
Prestige is a lot better, IMO.

I didn't see either one but I think I will try to watch both and see what I think of each.

people always ***in compare it to the prestige.... which is ******ed to do.

both were awesome and different movies.
