The Invincible Iron Man: The Animated Movie

If anyone is interested, I should have a video review of this up on You Tube tomorrow.

This video review is the first episode in what I hope becomes an up to date show, but the first episode took much longer than expected.

I watched it last night and thought it was Okay. I liked it better than Ultimate Avengers II.

I thought it sucked ass. UA 1 & 2 sucked. Now Iron Man. Hopefully the idiots at Marvel will right the ship with Dr. Strange.

It was decent at best worth a watch but no repeat viewings I have to say that overall im not that impressed with any of these Marvel animated properties but Dr. Strange looks very promising. I also thought it was dragged on far too long and that maybe the CG could have been taken out and just regular animation it might have flown better who knows though? It was decent.

I wasn't happy with the film. I was never clued in to why Tony wanted to don the armor. Short of some obligation he felt to protect China? I guess I wanted to the story to delve deeper into why Stark feels compelled to become Iron Man. That was never explored. I did enjoy the family relations drama as well as The Stark Enterprises storyline but the rest of it was 'meh' to me. I enjoyed the 1st Avengers film more than Iron Man. Not worth a second viewing from me. Really looking forward to the live action version. Downey is a good call.

I agree. Not very happy with it. The Mandarin was weak. Not much thought given to Tony's motivation for the armor.

That hot tub scene was a bit much for a cartoon. A little warning for the kids would have been nice.
PG-13 ...I thought it was for the fighting.

Good stuff, 3d. Almost forgot about that. The reviews here upon release were mixed, at best. Combine that with the lukewarm response I had to UA2 and I'm waiting for the freebie on CN before plunking down my money.

The movie was kinda slow and the action was kinda....boring abit.I didn't get to see a lot of the suits which Iron Man has.That was the low point.

Not a bad offering. That ending was anticlimactic though (the obviousness of Li Mei being connected to the Mandarin aside). I would have much rather seen Mandarin actually be a villain with a form, as opposed to a spooky spirit who was defeated by some quasi-emo chick taking off the rings. That 'this is the only reason I'm alive' shpeel was horsepuckey. Meh.
On the bright side, I was not expecting Fin Fang Foom.

At the end, I was kinda expecting Tony to form a softball team like he had babbling about at the beginning of the film.

Bring on Dr. Strange.

I agree. I hope the live action movie is better.
The first Ultimate Avengers was probably the best of the 3 so far, and even it kinda sucked. Hopefully Strange will be an improvement.

And how was it obvious? Did the cover say something about "movie may contain naked woman in hot tub"? If not, it's a harmless superhero cartoon. Even Pepper walking in on Tony showering was like ..."oh come on!!"

Because from the beginning, they've said these movies isn't meant for little kids. You dont seem to have a problem with dudes being shot and ****, which I find hilarious.
