The Mannequin Challenge

Because we are essentially pack animals so anytime a social media craze happens that multiple people can take part in idiots flock to it. Eventually, it reaches peak saturation when groups or organizations do it to try and be a part of the fad which makes everyone realize it's now no longer cool.

social media has the ability to turn people into mindless sheep and cattle wanting to get into the next big thing and when it runs it's course, it's on to the NEXT big dog and pony show...

This popped up at the same time as Westworld. Is it connected?

Because kids like to have fun and people can be creative.

A very good late 80s movie. A Kim Cattrall classic.

Kim could still get it now.

Not really into internet social media fads. But I've seen some of this mannequin challenge thing and it looks kinda fun. Imagine entering a club with people posing like statues.

Because a golden boy did a celebratory move, instead of practicing on what he did to deserve this celebration they just do it.
I like to think of this as the "replicate Topher Grace's Acting Skills" challenge.
Pretty sure Sam Raimi, and Christopher Nolan would have overlooked him if he was half as bad as you believe.

It's pretty fun. That's all. It's not really deep or anything, just something fun to do. We did the Mannequin Challenge for my bestfriend's wedding at the reception.

That was pretty good. Very much Weeping Angel like.

If the Hype ever has a meet and greet, how many of us would actually be good enough sports to do this? Including myself. :o

By that time that happens I'll probably forget this nonsense.

Has this caught on with the violent protesters so they can easily be arrested?

Internet fad is usually crap, but this all mannequin challenge is pretty funny.
There are some really creative ones.

Look at this one, from Radio Comercial, from my country, Portugal.
It's an ad for a radio show and it takes 4:42, but it's really well made

Seriously, I can't believe there are people who can get mad/annoyed over this. It's a social activity uniting people in a short moment of fun. They're not disrupting things nor making any sort of controversy. The world can't have this for the short period it will last?

How senile can you be? :funny:

I do find this and the "Andy's coming" stuff amusing, honestly.
