No it's you that sucks. I can't wait for the Cubs to go to the playoffs so they can prove you wrong. They signed Soriano if him and along with Jones, Lee, and Ramirez then looks like a team to be reckoned with. If both Prior and Wood stay healthy along with Zambrano then I defenitly believe they can compete and take away the divison title from the Cardinals or whoever else they are in competion with.

wow...GR87 just never gives up does he?? I don't know whether to pity his dillusions or to admire his stubborn tenacity...

How many times has GR87 said, "prove you wrong" this year

Shut up. Don't ever post stuff like that again. You are a jerk.

Saw it on NESN last night and had to post it:woot:

Two more months until spring training...

99% chance it will be Curt. Its his final Opening Day, and I don't think they'll disrespect him by giving it to Daisuke, Beckett or Paps. In 2008, I think its gonna be anyone's guess. Probably whoever performs better in 2007.

I don't know. I've always put him behind Beckett, because Beckett has been Curt's successor-apparent since he came to Boston. Here's how I see the rotation:

Schilling
Beckett
Daisuke
Papelbon
Wakefield

*Bump*

Might as well inform everyone that Aubrey Huff is gonna be on Oriole next year.

As is Adam Stern... :(

Here's something interesting:

Johan Santana will be a FA after the 2008 season. It is possible the Twins could trade him as early as this seasons' trade deadline. The reason for trading him is because they have 0 chance to re-sign him in free agency. And since they are a small market club, they'd have to trade him for top prospects to keep their future bright.

Still at this point Santana won't go anywhere for another year. But come 2008, Santana could be with another team from either a blockbuster trade or from a HUGE contract (probably will be the first $200M pitcher).

Personally, I'd rather have the Twins trade him, as I doubt it will be to the Yankees. I could easily see them fork out the money for him, should he hit the FA market in '08. I do agree with you, however that he has the possibility of being baseball's first $200 million pitcher.

Only about 57 days until the Sox play their first Spring Training game against the Twins, btw.:yay::csad:

I think the Mets and Yankees will be the biggest bidders for Santana should he hit the FA market. By then, the Mets will have lost Alou, Pedro, Glavine, and possibly Delgado and Lo Duca (I hope not on those 2). So they are in store for a monster signing.

The Orioles got Aubrey Huff for 3 years and $20 million. Yay! :yay:

Dodgers will dominate the NL West.

Why were the 2 top FA pitchers both in love with the West Coast? :(

Yeah, but that is not saying a lot. The NL West is, arguably, MLB's worst division.

BTW, SB, I've been meaning to compliment your predictions. Save for the AL East, I agree with them all. (Though I am biased on that call.)

So is the NL west still the weakest? I think its the hardest from top to bottom. The D-backs and rockies younger talent will be really annoying down the stretch and they will love to play party spoilers. That's if there not in it. Judging by this year wild card race, methinks they will be.

D-Backs might have a chance, but other than them the Dodgers will probably take the West hands down. Giants got Zito but they lost Schmidt too so that's like....yeah.

i love how the NL west feels separated from the rest of the league. Look at this off season. All the teams (aside from zito) just exchanged and players and even front office and managers (bruce bochy). I love it, just makes for a more competitive division. Know, if only Colorado and Arizona can move to California.

No way. The NL Central is the worst. Pirates, Cubs, Brewers, Reds, and Cardinals. Only the Cardinals had a winning record and they sucked this year. Usually they get 100 wins as in the past few seasons. The NL West at least has the Dodgers and Padres with the Giants and D-Backs occasionally being decent. The AL West is the 2nd worst. The Angels have a big payroll but couldn't win the division this season. Plus their off season moves have sucked. Oakland is run by Billy Beane's "moneyball" idea; which doesn't really work out as well as it should. The M's and Rangers need no explanation.

Thank you. The only AL prediction I am confident in is the West. If the Red Sox stay healthy and Dice-K, Lugo, and Drew perform well, they could make a run for the division (please!!!). The Central will be between the Tigers and Twins.
