I feel like I'm perpetually stuck at 15,000 cause I end up getting involved in discussions that get deleted (some are off-topic stuff like banned posters talk in certain threads or just me being a dirty bird...). I want to at least make it to 20,000 before the end of summer.

Go there, post in lounges, post opinions, don't get into hard debates.
And make sure your posts fit the title.
Make sure the thread you post in is not one doomed to be erased.
