Another thread, another Batman argument.

Anyway, since I got sick and missed the time to change it to a poll, I'm extending it until tonight at 8PM est.

Dredd
Skyfall
Brave

And wait, did TDKR actually have a score? I tried to remember anything but can't recall a single tune

The Master
Life of Pi
The Hobbit

TDKR
The Amazing Spider-Man (didn't like the movie but loved the score)
Prometheus

The Hobbit.

The Dark Knight Rises.

The Amazing Spider-Man

The Dark Knight Rises

But if The Hobbit wins, I'd be more than happy. Really loved the score.

Silvestri came short of delivering something of this caliber. Thus why the score was ignored in numerous reviews. As I put it, Alan's work was comparable to elevator music.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. End of story.

Yep, The Hobbit rules. Why TDKR is on the list at all still baffles me.

I can't even remember it which is usually a bad sign.

There are several parts of the TDKR score I really enjoyed, specifically Bane and Bruce's themes, along wih the score for the last scene.

I loved the score in tdkr. It really upped the ante and made the film more intense. But the score of the hobbit was the best of the year. And that avengers main them was so epic

I agree about TDKR. I think his score in TDKR was better than TDK (but not better than Begins).

Loved the main theme for The Avengers, but that's the only part of the score I liked and felt was memorable.

Sadly i agree. But it sure was awesome. Wish the rest of it was that great. Oh well, that was the most important piece of music for that film.

Surprisingly, The Hobbit was a great soundtrack. I truly enjoyed it. I don't get the hate behind it with some of the fans.

*shrugs*

I can't even remember it which is usually a bad sign.

You mean a bad sign, for you? Cuz Zimmer's work (while so-so) was praised by numerous critics. The score didn't go unnoticed.

I loved the score in tdkr. It really upped the ante and made the film more intense.

How did it up the ante exactly? Majority of the score is rehashed from the previous two scores. His Batman theme was riding on fumes. He didn't take the score or recurring themes/motifs to any different directions from the previous two. But whatever you got something out of the score. Good for you.

TDKR is my favourite score of 2012. I am a fan of the motifs Zimmer established beforehand - hearing Bane's chant blend into one of my favourites in 'I'm Not A Hero' is cool with me - but also enjoyed the new content he brought to the table - 'On Thin Ice', 'Gotham's Reckoning', 'Mind if I Cut In?', 'The Fire Rises' and 'Why Do We Fall?''. Nothing to do with licking boots or turning a blind eye, it's just what I like.

The Avengers main theme was stunning. When the team were in that circle, and the music was playing, I couldn't hold back the tears!
