I still remember those stills of Durance when it was annouced she'd be starring in Season 4. Best Lois of all-time. Of ALL-TIME!!

Yep, I always had and always will have a soft spot for Erica and her Lois. Amy Adams is a great actress and she's beautiful, so of course I'll reserve final judgment until the movie is out, but in my eyes Erica will always be my choice for Lois Lane. Teri Hatcher was great but Erica was flawless as that character in any way, shape or form. My god, what a woman.

It's almost funny to think about how most fans were upset at first about Lois Lane being introduced into the series, fast forward to now and she became one of the best (if not THE best) incarnations of the characters.

I do agree at times makeup was a bit off here or there but it wasn't all bad.

I personally never get the hair and makeup people on the show at times. To often it felt like they did a disservice to the actresses going overboard at times.

Such a great subtle moment in the last season. The "S" that started it all.

Erica Durance is awesome, but let's not over-look the show's bull s--t. Lois Lane was awesome in season 4 when they paired her off with Clark. But once Lana became the center of attention again, they pushed her to the side. In seasons 5, 6, and 7, Lois was a glorified guest star. So, since Lois didn't become a proper character till season 8, one has to wonder if it was really worth introducing her so early in the show's run. Or atleast, what was the point of keep Lana around so long. When Lana left to France at the end of season 3, that should have been the character's exit except for a few guest appearences to tie-up some plotlines.

Actually, Durance wasn't supposed to be in that many episodes. She was just a guest star by the time they figured out what season 4 was going to be about. But then after falling in love with her portrayal, Al/Miles decided to keep her on for good, even though she was never a regular cast member.

Plus there was also a type of embargo from WB about setting the two of them up, so Lois and Clark hooking up was never supposed to happen, which didn't change until after Sounders and Peterson took over in season 8.

Lois and Clark had many great moments in season 4 without "hooking up." Plus, they were still teenagers. There was no point to rushing the romance. My point is that, despite Durance's performance, the character itself was pretty pointless for like three seasons. Her biggest contribution was hooking up with Green Arrow and Lex's cloned brother. And hooking up with Lex's brother is what got her into the Daily Planet. She slept her way into the gig. So, going back to the initial fan complaints, they are still pretty valid. The character had no business being introduced so early in the show's run, especially with Lana still around.

Ah, the Lois "sleeping her way to the top" thing. This argument really used to get to me back in the day. She didn't sleep her way to the top, the guy hired her before they ever became a couple. Her work in the Inquisitor was the reason she was noticed in the first place. I was not a fan of this arc at all and I was blasting Beavis and Butthead, I'm sorry - Gough and Miller the whole time for letting Lois get it on with her editor. So yes, it was stupid but no, she didn't sleep her way to anything.

He didn't hire her because of her "work." He hired her because she was hot. Then, Lois repaid the favor by sleeping with him. Meanwhile, Chloe got the boot.

Durance's new show was picked up for 12 episodes plus the pilot. Hopefully they will air it in U.S. maybe in the summer with Rookie Blue.

Funny story, I was at NY Comic Con a few weeks back and someone confused for being her husband. Apparently he was on Stargate SG-1 or some show, and we have a similar look/build. (although after googling him, I dont see the "look" part other than the shaved head and dark eyebrows.)

Why couldnt it be her making that mistake? :(

Although it somehow makes me happy knowing I'd be her type. :hrt:

congratz to erica, I read the other day her hospital show was picked up.

I totally agree when people say the older she gets, the better she looks. She looks great in the promo pics from S4 where she's 25-26 but looking at this... man, age is really good to her so far. ;) And I don't care if it's true what some claim she uses to look like that, the result is the only thing that matters. Suck it haters.
