Playstation The Official Playstation 5 Thread

getting matte black face plates for my PS5 Pro like I had for my old gen 1 PS5 I am glad I kept my black Dual Sense controllers I even have a PS5 looking Dual Sense charging doc that is black and lights up with blue LED just like the PS5 does :).

*surprised Pikachu*

Sony probably saw those Stellar Blade sale numbers on PC and reacted like "Wait, if we actually release our games to more regions we would get more sales?!?!"

But seriously, I'm just glad more people get to play games.

 Sony’s output has been dour this gen compared to previous. A combination of poor decisions and cancellations, games taking a generation to make, and other problems.
This poll only has 22 games,

and not all of them are console exclusives.

I feel like Sony needs to understand that the gaming industry has reached the point, where console exclusives are now an smaller factor in selling the gaming hardware, and gaming studios profit more from distributing their games on more than one platform

I feel like Sony should just bury Xbox to the ground, especially at this time. Porting their games to Xbox just seems pointless and Sony would only appear they aren't satisfied with their PS5 game/PC port sales. Like why bother, making Xbox ports?

Yes they're greedy. But logically, why spend time and money, in making ports for a dying console and Microsoft isn't their friend. Its a waste of effort and there are better things they could do that would actually benefit their bank account and brand. Releasing Xbox ports isn't one.

Xbox's survival is not only good for Sony, but consumers, too. More competition means more inventive games, lower prices and a larger gaming workforce. It would also mean less games in the long run.

But given their status of now being the largest third party publisher (which includes CoD and Minecraft), they aren't going anywhere, even if they stop making consoles.

Microsoft isn't doing a great job keeping the Xbox brand alive though. So porting Sony games to Xbox would be just useless and Sony would eventually stop doing Xbox ports as the money coming from it isn't enough to sustain more ports. A lot of third party developers are already skipping Xbox simply because its not worth the hassle.
