The industry is changing. I reckon it is no longer financially viable for a company to lock down their products to their platform when said products cost in the 9 figures.

It's 2025 y'all. It's time to serve customers on their platform of choice.

I am a little slow but i finally ordered matte black shells for my Pro model been meaning to do so when I got the the new Pro a few months ago lol
 
like my fat PS5, the Pro looks so much better in that satin black color I made sure I got the one with the disc drive slot there are shells for the Pro without the disc slot for those who wanna go all digital (but not me I am a disc guy to the end ha ha) best $41 I paid for an upgrade it looks so nice and sleek to me.

Destruction AllStars is exclusive to PS5 and given the state of the game, is never hitting PC.

Other PS5 games (first party) that don't have a PC port yet.
-Demon's Soul (2020)
-Horizon: Call of the Mountain (2023)
-Astro Bot (2024)
 
It was inevitable. Still, funny when it happens.
 
I do wonder where the breaking point is.
Not just in gaming, but in general.
These Greedy companies, Trumps idiotic policies that only serve him while milking the people dry...there has to be a breaking point.
People already struggle paying their Rent and basic needs...at some point they just cant afford entertainment anymore if it keeps getting more expensive.

Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Herman Hulst spoke to the Financial Times (in a paywalled article that has been recapped by Genki on Twitter) about Concord's failure and Sony's continued push to live service despite it. Hulst says the fiasco has led Sony to "put in place much more rigorous and more frequent testing." He adds, "The advantage of every failure  is that people now understand how necessary" oversight is.

Hulst also added, "I don't want teams to always play it safe, but I would like for us, when we fail, to fail early and cheaply" which is a far cry from Concord's eight-year development and reportedly massive budget.

Hulst says that the number of live-service releases is not important. "What is important to me is having a diverse set of player experiences and a set of communities."

Taking all the wrong results from live service failures. The market is flooded and no one who isn't already playing one, wants to play one anyways.

There is none. That's the point of consolidation. Eventually there will be one option and you have to pay.
