Richard Donner's horror film (his next film would be Superman) was released in UK cinemas on June 6, 1976.

The Omen is a classic, one of my favorites.

One of the best of all time.

"Please daddy, no."

Damn this movie hit on every note possible

It's also the 10th anniversary of the incredibly unnecessary remake. The original is one of my favorite horror movies, though.

A horror classic. One of the greats.

What other horror-thriller has such an epic scope where the stakes are concerned?

Everything about The Omen was on point; the story, the casting, the acting, THE SCORE.

This movie is never dull, it has great pacing and builds momentum throughout. It's creepy while also being very emotional and thought provoking. Good special effects for the time to kill off the righteous in creative fashions

Hell, I remember after I saw this movie (I was about 8 or so) I couldn't stop thinking about the climax and that unsettling last shot of Damien in the cemetery where he ambiguously smiles right into the camera. Shivers

I couldn't sleep and even was all the sudden thinking about the Book of Revelations which I had never cared about before.

Pretty much a perfect film that left a profound mark in my move watching history and is still endlessly watchable today.
